Agreed. He only punts well when his job is on the line. But he will make the team also because he is the best Holder for FG's.

He needs to punt like his job is on the line every week.....and it should be.....WE cannot affored to be hampered by poor special teams play this year. WE will have a close margin on most games as it is.

Well, at least there are a lot of names that will be available if he does falter in the regular season. I think this is it though. If he flounders after this, i think they need to make a change for good.

But hopefully it won't come to that. It's up to him.

Leaverton holds on to the ball to long. All of his kicks almost get blocked. He is certainly not the answer.

Field position killed us way to much last season to forgive him just because he's kicking well in the preseason. Field position alone cost us several games last year.

I'm pulling for him to continue to kick the way he is. I just want to see it during the season.

Hey i have faith based on what ive seen thus far from the coaching staff that someone will be kept scouring the wires and have a few punters on speed dial in case Barker faulters.
But im sure that Barker knows this too.So maybe we will get a more consistent performance from him.

Yeah he has been kicking great and lkike Sonny said last night, he is the preferred holder for John Hall, and that in the end, will speak volumes as well.
