The Redskins have a 14-4-1 lead in the all time series with Atlanta and have won five of the last six games between the teams. The last meeting, in 2003, was a 33-31 victory for the Redskins in Atlanta, with a bruised and battered Patrick Ramsey passing for 356 yards and two TD. The last meeting in Washington was back in 1994, with Jeff George passing for 270 yards and two TD in a 27-20 Falcons victory. Washington is 3-2 at home this year and Atlanta is 2-2 on the road. good write up.. the biggest concern i have is that the skins coaches take one look at the truly sorry group of defensive backs the falcons have ( minus hall) and decide the way to attack atlanta is to pass them silly..
that is exactly what we do not want to do.. run them into the ground, and then expose their defensive woes against the pass when they have to cheat up. we do not want to get into a shoot out with this team

As I thought, this is our very first matchup going against Vick. The last game we played against the Falcs Vick was injured and we played against the ageless Chris Chandler.

I hope we employ the same philosophy New Orleans used in Week 3. This is a week where containment and a "break but don't bust" will work with Vick/Dunn and will be the key to a victory.

Well, they do need to shutdown Crumpler and Jenkins, those 2 receivers need to be taken seriously. Re: the other receivers, I am not so sure. I hope we have Springs covering Jenkins and double-up on Crumpler with ST spying both Crumpler and Vick.
