even though this is true, people wont still give us respect without those players. it just gives all the skins haters a reason why we won. on the flip side, it just made our first few games alot easier even though i am sad to see anyone get hurt.(especially vick seeing as he is a hometown boy)

all i can do is smile...:) . i know this was not a big game for most of you guys, but it was for me and iam pleased with my skins right now. i wont rub it in because it was just pre-season, but it was a very sweet pre-season win ;) . the number one thing was to escape this game without any major injuries. unfortunately for the jets, they werent so lucky. but like you all have said, you hate to look at it in our favor, but thats the reality of it.

every game you look for the team to improve and the team has improved in each game. the offense looked much better (against a "supposedly" good defense, lol), even with a few pieces of the o line missing. (i think friedman may have stolen moore's job). the defense looked great and the special teams looked much, much better with the coverage but not the returns. the team still needs work but they are looking better every week.

props to.....friedman, ramsey, coles, dockery, LAVAR and barker...

Those injuries hurt the Jets alot more then they do Atlanta, who'll still be super tough over there. I wouldn't spit at 1-1 start.

I think its evident from the article I posted last night or early this morning. If we win, the other team played like crap. If we lose, we played like crap.

Its never our offense outperformed the other team. The other team seems to alway play down to us when we win a game....

I think last night was the FIRST REAL GAME PLAN put in place -- I doubt we will see anything more than off tackle right and left; quick slant, outs, post and screens on Thurs against the Jags.....this shows how much SS has learned about the NFL (Rome doesn't call him 'the evil genius' for nothing)

I think Spurrier put together a good game plan last night. It seemed like every play had a counter part and a possible trick play was looming. Even though we were only getting short rushes, they were consistant and that helped open up the passing game and also gave way to the "flea ficker".

Last season one of my co-workers (he's also a damn E-gals fan) told me not to worry because my coach was a damn good coach, he just has to sort everything out. I think Spurrier is getting a little better at sortin'. I was pleased with the play calls, though I would have liked to see Betts run a little more so he could properly be evailuated.

I think I am going to look at our game again and see what I didn't see the first time. This is a good building block.

The other fans and the media as far as that goes are of no importance to me.Ive followed this team since i was 6 years old (2and1/2 decades now) and respect has to be earned on the field. If we win and challenge for the division and a wild card i dont care what the jealous fans or the overpaid journalists write.
I also agree with a fact previously stated last year Moore was the best interior o-lineman we had.Now hes easily the weakest and it seems to have showed with Friedmans performance last night.Lets give him a chance he is better than Brown and Moore could be a top backup at guard and center.

Firstly.... It was a great game. Great, great game. I know it was only preseason, but that flea-flicker play's gonna put a smile on my face for a long time to come. Everything seemed to be rolling, and despite the fact that we had the upper hand due to a few Raven errors (the muffed punt probably being their most costly), the team looked like it had improved its cohesion and efficiency by leaps and bounds over last week.

Secondly, thanks for joining up, WinemALL, those are some nice pics. Glad I have DSL, though, otherwise they would have taken an hour and a half to load. ;)

Thirdly, Friedman did look very good, I get the feeling another battle for a starting spot just opened up.

LADYNREDSKINSFAN: Yeah, I was waiting to hear from you. I know that you (like I) have been "chompin' at the bit" for this game. Being a Baltimore City resident:(, I get my healthy dose of Redskins hate. I was approached by two Ravens fans on Friday and they were LAUGHING AT ME (with regard to our team and the up comming game). My response, naturally, was to explain to these morons that it was only a pre-season game. They, of course, kept up the laughing and the joking. Well, with a 24-3 shelacking under my belt.............I GUESS THAT COME TOMORROW................I'LL HAVE THE LAST LAUGH:D :D :D :D !!!!!!

This was a great victory. A convincing one, too. Does anyone else here think that Baltimore resembles a war zone?

How can we say Sultan is gonna push? He is gettiong decent yardage against scrubs, but he also soughed it up against scrubs.

JoeDaSchmoe

Fumbles happen. It doesn't matter if it's a first-stringer or fifth-stringer, if his arm comes down right on the ball like it did when Sultan dropped it there's a chance a fumble will happen. It never looks good, but this is probably the area where the level of defense matters least. You can't say he'd fumble a lot more against first-stringers.

Guys like Sultan can make the team without playing against starters. He's been impressive when he has played. They say you have to take advantage of the opportunities you get and I believe he has. whether it's against 3rd or 1st stringers, he's taking advantage of his opportunity.

Always good to have win regardless if it's preseaon. But more importantly, MORE improvement this week.

Baltimore DID help us alot with their sloppy play BUT what was important was that when they made a mistake, we made them pay for it. Capitalizing on others mistakes is going to be a real key for us this year - IMO.

The one player I thought had a really good game was Zellner. He keeps playing like that, I think our D-line will be OK and then some.

I agree Pat. Teams over the years have made us really regret the mistakes/turnovers that we have committed, and it was refreshing to see our boys capitalize on theirs. That is the making of a good team when you can do that IMO.
