For those of you who saw the game on T.V., you undoubtedly noticed offensive Hugh Jackson in the booth (talking formations with Spurrier).

I don't know about you guys, but I noticed less confusion, less audibles, plus they picked up the Blitz (my major concern) better. They saw the Defensive formations better and made better check-downs.

What do you guys think about this? Do you prefer the O-Coordinator to be upstairs in the booth or down on the sidelines???? I don't know if this was a temporary experiment or a permanent thing, but wanted to hear what you guys had to say about this.

I think coordinators should always be in the booth.

What ever works for this group of coaches is fine with me. If we can get the results like last night, keep his butt in the booth!

I think he should have been in the booth as well. One of the security guards at Fedex told me that he was making alot of the calls. I'm not sure about whether he did or not but being in the booth does give him a better perspective of the defense IMO.

That shows me SS has learned a lot and just the fact that he lets someone else get involved says a lot.SS may just be learning how to coach in the NFL

The booth is better. It allows the OC to see the entire field. Spurrier calls a play based on what hue jackson sees.

One play was interesting. The Redskins called a timeout supposedly to discuss a play to call. Well, who knows what was discussed but Ramsey was still waiting for the play to be called when he got back to the huddle.

Jackson in the booth sounds logical. Have one set of eyes up there to survey the field from a different perspective. I'll second the whatever works sentiment though.

If it works well this way then they should do it this way. I am reminded, however, that Richie Petitbon did a pretty good job with the defense for quite some time and I never saw him leave the sidelines.

Poor Petitbone...I never felt they gave him a chance as Head coach.

The guys calling the plays, in this case SS and Edwards, need to have someone upstairs as an extra set of eyes and a sounding board. So in this case, it's good to have Jackson upstairs. Edwards undoubtedly has someone up there, i.e. the headset. I like the idea of them up there, personally.
