WHY DOESN'T OUR DEFENSE GET TURNOVERS???? IS IT BECAUSE WE DON'T PLAY ALOT OF ZONE????? JUST CURIOUS TO SEE WHAT YOU GUYS THINK......

There was an INT yesterday. YOu can get turnovers with zone defenses so I wouldn't say it's because of that.

We'll have to wait and see with Edward tweaks what happens.

I'll tell you why. We don't have a strong pass rush. A good pass rush forces bad throws and quarterback fumbles, and we don't see very many of those coming from the other team in our games.

I believe JDS has it right. If the other teams offense has all day to throw the ball, he's more likely to throw it away or find the open receiver.
Excellent point JDS

Our pass rush?? When it come to interceptions that maybe true but another thing that has come into play is the QB being able to throw the ball away if he steps outside the tackles. I see alot more of that.
I think we did a good job of keeping pressure on Saturday. TO are great but I'm satified with keeping the pressure on to produce no gains and/or first downs.

The pass rush is one problem. The other is that we don't have playmaking safeties. Any good defense usually relies on safeties to make interceptions and jar footballs loose with bonecrushing hits. Ours don't do that. Haven't done that since about 1992.

Yes, this is correct. Besides Lavar's gamesaving play on Warner in the Rams game, the biggest turnover last year came from that long Ohalete runback vs. the Saints. Not enough of those anticipation plays from our safeties. Pass rush is key as well as mentioned above.

A good pass rush can make average safeties seem very good. Just look at Carolina.
