Moore plans to be ready for the season opener and Thomas plans to resume practicing.

It would be nice to somehow grab Dalton this week.

I agree Skinz. I hope our FO wont think we don't need another DT 'cause of the way our DL played Saturday.
Dalton would be a great pickup...

I don't know, do we really need to spend another draft pick? I've really got mixed emotion about this now.

Interesting:
The Redskins spent the weekend in trade discussions with several teams, including the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions. The Saints apparently would like to trade for one of the Redskins' backup tailbacks, Ladell Betts or Kenny Watson. The Redskins seem intent upon keeping them, barring an overwhelming trade offer. The Redskins are leaning strongly toward keeping Canidate, Betts, Watson and fellow tailback Chad Morton on their 53-man roster, with rookie Sultan McCullough likely on the five-man practice squad.
"We have another game to go before we have to make all of those decisions,'' Coach Steve Spurrier said of the club's tailback situation. "We'll have to evaluate all that after this week, but we'll probably take five down to Jacksonville.''
The Redskins still are trying to acquire another defensive tackle. The representative for Denver's Lional Dalton is attempting to rekindle a proposed trade between the Redskins and Broncos, and the Lions shopped Shaun Rogers during the offseason.
Who are they still trying to get from the Saints, and I am weary of picking up Rogers if the Lions seem so hell bent to get rid of him. They got the best of us the last time we traded with them (Stai).

Regarding Moore, I'm wondering if he wouldn't want to go with a healthy, seemingly very effective Friedman in the middle instead of Moore? Anyone else thinking that? This may be a kneejerk reaction, but Moore is very average any way you slice it.

I agree with the Moore/Friedman issue. Although it is comforting to know there is not much dropoff from one to the other.
As far as Rogers goes, I'm not sure I want any defensive tackle where Big Daddy was viewed as an upgrade. They tried to unload him last season too, I think.
It doesn't sound as if Dalton is an upgrade over anyone we have here now, so why would we want to spend another draft choice on a DT that will not start?

On the flip side of that CarMike.....
Maybe some teams saw the play of our D Line will think that we really don't NEED one and they will stop asking for crazy trade offers.
