got to admit i was bored. so i turned on the kc/oakland game and all i can say is that i am glad i am not a raider fan.. they are simply awful. hard to tell if walter is truly wretched or if the o line and lack of receivers make him look worse than he is..
the defense looked old and slow to me as well. they are so bad, they would need 2 draft picks in every round just to reach mediocrity.

plus, shell has that dead man walking look. they already have turmoil in their coaching staff. so it looks like tear down mode is coming again.

with 13 losses they have set a record for raider futility that goes back even before al davis ...(i did not realize that he came to the franchise in year 3 of their existence).. and they have 1 more potential loss coming as well.
plus they have those large contracts to moss and porter which will cause them cap problems for certain.

teams can turn around in a hurry.. witness the resurgence of new orleans and tennessee this year.. but i think the raiders are more than a 1 off season project.. plus, remember that sean payton turned down the raiders offer so it is no sure thing that davis can even lure a top quality young coach to take over things.

looks like the raider nation is right at home with a lump of coal in their x mas stockings...

I think their defence is solid
They are an O-line and a QB (likely Brady Quinn) away from being a playoff team

That is true for almost every team in the league. You give any team a good line and a good QB, and they will be fine.
The difference is that the Raiders are also a complete coaching staff away from being a real NFL team.

I think that there defense will continue to improve, there Defensive Coordinator is doing a good job. They have some young players that are developing. They should be getting beat even worse, since they are getting zero production from the Offense. They have to have the worst offense ever in the NFL. I guess we all can be thankful that the Skins are not that bad.:)

well if they get lucky, quinn can bring some more of that knowledge that charlie weis possesses. as a ND fan though, i hope brady quinn isnt selected #1 if the pick belongs to oakland.
