I have been waiting to see sykes get some playing time. Hopefully he will be activated and get into the game on a few snaps.

Good move, need to keep getting younger and more aggressive on the D-line.

There are over 250 players on other teams practice squads and this is the second guy we've promoted from our own. I find it exceeding difficult to believe that NONE of those 250+ other players are better than either of these two guys. Another opportunity wasted.

You could not be more wrong. It is about time that the Redskins start showing some loyalty to players that are already here. We need more of that!

i have to disagree. it is my opnion that we have been overly loyal to players that are already here, in some cases.
edit: i do agree with continuity though. i just mean quit bringing in guys like Koz just because they know him, when no one else in the league wanted him.

I was impressed with Sykes at times during the preseason, and I'd like to see him get some snaps tomorrow vs. the Giants. Forgive me if I don't hold my breath though.

Looks like Wynn is gone. Finaly this team gives a young DE a chance.

Since this is the last game, play all of these young guys. Espy should go in for a few packages also, lets see these guys in action. If we lose the game, its not the end of the world. We have a few big boys on the PS at o-line...maybe they come show some improvement by next summer. This team has a few options going into the offseason and doesnt have to shoot full force for next years superbowl, aim for the year after and make smart choices. Smart FA signings...where needed!! Smart draft choices and most important we need to keep next years picks.

I really don't think Wynn or Daniels are gone, but that neither will be starters next year. By all accounts both are big time leaders and lord knows the Skins need to keep players like that.

Signing a player from another PS, bringing up our own players from the PS to the active roster, either way someone will find something wrong with it and in the end it likely won't make a lick of difference.

I agree with you. Its tough to evaluate other players from other teams PS also. You really only got to see them a very short time in preseason. Since most practices are closed now.

Is Sykes the guy that slept on the sidewalk outside Redskins Park?

Sykes played a lot tonight, though he wasn't very impressive.

Tell that to Jasper Harvey. Or Ikechuku Ndukwe. The Iggles and Ratbirds, respectively saw fit to forego "loyalty" to marginal players in an opportunity to make themselves better and give themselves better depth. Anything to get just a little better. That's why...
Those teams are good. We are not.
Those teams are going to the playoffs. We are not.
Their FOs get it. Ours does not.
Their fans don't have to be apologists for their team. You do.
Chew on that "difference" for the next month while the Iggles and Ratbirds are in the playoffs. And then again during the offseason while we are yet again forced to dream about next year.
