LaVar was on Sports Nite. He was saying that "we gave you 24 reasons to cover Redskins Football" and that "We will claim Maryland."

Do you find something wrong with what he said? Maybe if you had to look at Comcast everyday as they claim to be a regional station, all the while gearing their coverage towards the Ravens, you may understand where he is coming from.

This was the first time that I heard LaVar speak. I would have never imagined that he sounded like that. I think that fools players into thinking that he can not hit:D

How in the world does what LaVar said make him not bright?

I'm glad that LaVar is aware of this biased sports news network. He cares about US damn it! How does that make him "as bright an eclipse"?

Lavar strikes me as unusually articulate by the standards of professional athletes. Most professional athletes have focused so much on their bodies since childhood that their minds are undeveloped. I have no idea if Lavar intelligent or educated, but he seems remarkably well-spoken. You don't need to be well educated to be witty. Hell, aside from John Riggins, Dexter Manley was the wittiest Redskin in my memory and that dude couldn't even read.

I have to agree. Lavar is a bright guy. Heck, if he's not "bright" by those comments, I guess most of us here aren't bright either.

I loved those comments. He was 100% correct. And I love his enthusiasm

I'm guessing that Richard took the comment as Lavar miscounting the starting number of offense and defensive players on the field. He said 24 instead of 22? The quote is somewhat out of context, so I'm not sure what the 24 eludes to. I also think that Lavar seems pretty intelligent and has great charisma.

The 24 was in reference to the 24 points we scored against the Ravens defense. Thi was simply Lavar's way of talking smack... seems the one's who missed his tongue and cheek sarcasm may be the "bright as an eclipse" ones.

Anyone who plays chess on a regular basis has got to be somewhat intelligent.

Me too!!!!:p

I don't have the time to learn it. Give me Madden any day.

Oh and what Lavar said was.... The rapper Fifty Cent has the song 21 questions,.....well we just gave comcast 24 reasons to cover Redskins football and not just focus on the Ravens. He also said that the Skins were the winners and he STILL has to wait for them to finish interviewing McCallister before he gets his airtime.

He did good in the interview and people who watch comcast know that they show more Ravens news than Redskins news. I do tune in after the home games though. They give a pretty good post game.

I saw this whole episode, I just couldn't get over the size of Lavar's hands! (No comments necessary boys) He cracked me up doing the "commentator" thing.

does anyone here know why arrington in not listed in the players pool at yahoo fantasy football? there has got to be a reason. the site is connected with the players association somehow as i see their icon on the web pages. maybe they have something to do with it. i am curious if any of you folks know what the deal on that is.

thanks in advance for any help!

Arrington has not signed with the NFLPA. That's also the reason his name is not used in video games.

I'm not really sure why he didn't sign, but I hate not having him in Madden, although, once you do enter his name, Madden and Michaels will say it which makes me laugh.

Yeah, maybe they[EA] should change their ad. The "Let her off easy. Madden football season starts August 14th" ad.
