I hope we do this.I feel like by adding Dalton we would have a legit starter and after the way Denver has tried to move him maybe he'll play with a chip on his shoulder for us this year (if its not the Ravens or Jaguars hes going to.
What have you guys heard about a possible trade with Detriot for Rogers?Im just wondering if we really inquired about him.According to the article on the home page, we talked with the saints and lions this past weekend.

"The Washington Redskins were back firmly in the chase yesterday for Denver Broncos defensive tackle Lional Dalton, and expected to know today whether they acquire him. "

We just can't throw in anyone we want for a trade. Molden was a UFA this offseason and Detroit had a chance to sign him. They passed. Why do we think they would take him in a trade. If that was the case, we could keep Molden and send Ade Jimoh?

Well, Shanahan has UF ties and is friends with Stevie. I am sure Shanahan won't mind throwing us a bone.... :)

Yeah, the last time we were thrown a bone was courtesy the Lions and they stiffed us with Stai. Let's hope Shanahan isn't holding any grudges with SS.

Monk81 hell I'd rather have Corey Simon but the last I heard of it, the Lions were looking for a second round pick for Rogers. I'd be ecstatic if we got him but the odds on Dalton are much better. Rogers is young and has as much potential as any young tackle in the league but the question is how far back are we willing to bend. Personally I think a 3rd round pick should not be out of the question, however this should come as one of their last negotiation results. If we get Rogers by some miracle, it should actually give them more insentive to draft d-line early.

NBC 4 reported last night that a deal for Dalton could be reached as early as this morning. Stay tuned.

Here we go again. I not conviced that we really need to do this BUT IF it's going to happen a 5th round draft pick is all we should give up.

I think we need to get this done. Lets not forget what we looked like BEFORE the Ravens game. And lets face it, the Ravens aren't the the best offense in the NFL. While our DL played well against them, we still need to improve the line.

I've heard that all it could take is Molden. Heck, I'd throw in a 5-7 draft pick. Even though I think we don't have a 6th or 7th now due to other deals...

Is Dalton THIS good? I dont know much about him... just that Denver has enough talent to go around. Will he really help us out much?

Patrick thats what the Broncos wanted all along a 5ht rounder but we were not willing to give him that. I don't see how it can be anyhting else but a fith since we cant use a 6th or 7th.
