Jamaal Anderson DE for Arkansas has declared for the '07 draft. Had 13.5 sacks last year and some say he has 1st round potential.

Is he worth trading down for? Also Georgia's other DE Charles Johnson declared as well. If the Skins trade down they could have a shot at some very good DE's this year.

Any thoughts, draftniks?

interesting because this guy is a monster he may bypass the two georgia ends easily.

On NFLdraftcountdown.com they have ranked #2 DE behind Adams already.

did he not start his first two years? in those two years he had something like 4 sacks total...i'd be a little worried about a guy that had one big year after two mediocre years and then hits the draft.

While trading down would benefit us the most,I am not sure you use a first Rd pick on a DE.It is PAINFULLY obvious that we need a great ,young pass rusher I think we could be better served to eye a DT or a MLB.There are some good ones available later in the first Rd.Or we could most definitely use a cover CB,and there is plenty of depth there. In Williams D if we had good coverage CB's we could go back to effective blitzing therefore negating the need to draft a DE in Rd 1.Just my thoughts.

Kiper has this guy 5th overall on his big board. He's behind (in this order): Calvin Johnson, Bradie Quinn, Joe Thomas, and JaMarcus Russell.

(its on the right hand side of the Calvin Johnson article.)

I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Skins uniform if we could trade down and still pick him up. I think a lot of these juniors declaring for the draft will help us in our efforts to trade down.
