Iggles fans tought us that the NFL wants the Saints to win. I can't see that changing so:

I think the Saints offense is good enough to overcome the Bears defense, even in Chicago. Rex Grossman will show his true colors, two picks and under 200 yards passing. Drew Brees will show his true colors, 2 TD's, no picks, 17 of 23, 210 yards.
Saints 28
Bears 13

I think this could be a blow out, the Bears defense was putrid last week.
Saints have destiny on their side. they win 28-10

yeah, once shaun alexander got going, the bears really struggled to bring him down. deuce will pick up on that, and brees wont make the same mistakes. i dont see reggie bush being a factor in this game, but thats ok cause the saints have plenty of playmakers on offense. i still think the bears have a better team as a whole, but new orleans has proved me wrong so many times this year, ill go with them. now watch em lose cause i said this...
final score: new orleans - 23, chicago - 17

My heart wants the Saints to win, my head is telling me the Bears will pull it out. I don't trust either defense and both special teams can lethal. Call me old school but somehow I think the cold weather Bears overcome the dome field Saints 27-24.

tough call.. my heart says, the saints... my head says the talent level on this saints team is not that far removed from the wretched team of last year except at qb and with bush.... granted that is huge and payton has made the team believe in itself.. but.. thomas is scary BAD at corner and they cannot hide him.
the saints gave up many big plays all year.. i think that is one thing that grossman can do well. either berrian or muhammed is going to get free long on thomas..and likely more than once..
the other big factor is playing outside in cold weather..it is one thing to go on the road and win in atlanta or tampa.. it is another to go into chicago and beat the bears in january.. for the saints to win, mcallister is going to have to have a huge game.. having the bears missing harris and a starting safety is big.. the only question is whether it is big enough
in the end, i cannot go against my second home team.. a shakey vote for the saints to squeak through

I want the Saints to win, and I think they can. Bears D has not been dominant since Tommie Harris injury.
Most of all I think Sants are balanced enough to make the SB competitive. I think the SB would be a blow out with Bears in it.

I want the saints to win but i think the bears will if their defense plays like it normally does.

You gotta love the Saints. Normally I would find it difficult to sincerely root for another team, but the Saints have been a non-threat to most teams for so long. Being a Redskins fan, the Saints have never hurt my feelings or ticked me off. They just play year after year and never really complain. Go Saints.

Rex Grossman, Saints in a blowout.

I think the Saints can pull it off, unless the weather is absolutely terrible.
But it's gonna be close, and I don't think either team will play particularly well.
Go Saints!!

I wasn't supposed to be back until August, so so much for that. Anyway, it is clear, NO is happy to be aloft where they are.
The overall performance of the Bears defense will be enough to neutralize the Saints. I like the Saints enthusiasm and I like the way D. McAllister worked the lanes, but he won't SEE those lanes this Sunday. Not even Bush, who's likely to be more sucessful running the ball than DM. However, thre "regrouping" of the defense, who had a BAD taste in their mouth from last week (they wanted more tightening of the pass defense and will get it done this Sunday).
Grossman is learning, while propped up and his counterpart, Brees is humming along. That ends in this NFC Championship for Brees.
Do you seriously think Lovie will let his team screw up now????
NOT!

I've hated the bears ever since Urlacher scored a TD on a fake field goal play against us a while back. I hope they get crushed.

you might be onto something.. the saints are happy to just be there, the bears expect to go to the superbowl.. could be the difference.. sometimes teams need to learn how to win in the playoffs.. of course that might apply to the bears as well

Reminds me of the famous line:
"I'm not here, looking for trouble,
I'm just here to do the Super Bowl Shuffle!"
Da' Bears were pretty confident when they did that video back in the 1980's. ha. I think if they had McMahon in his prime today, they would surely beat the Saints.

Exactly. Incredibly enough, the Saints have won one more playoff game than the Bears in the last 12 years.

I rememer that...what a brilliant play call...in the 4th quarter of a close game I believe
I think the Bears are the better team but let's not underestimate NFL sheistyness. The Eagles fans do have a point...note last week's fantom false start on 4th down (well not quite fantom but you dont call the first false start of the game on that play with barely a flinch) and the infamous tuck rule of 2001

I tend to agree with you. If our defense could stop the saints in NO, I think the Bears D, problems and all, can do it at home. I really think that Bush is going to be exposed in Chicago. I don't know what the weather is supposed to be like, but has that guy ever had to play a game in the cold? Certainly not at USC, and I don't think he's had to do it yet in the nfl. He fumbled twice last week. I look for him to put the ball on the ground a couple of times this week, too. I think it's going to be a long day for Bush and his teammates.
This is a tough game for me to get excited about. I lived in Chicago for seven years, and learned to hate the Bears while I was there. But for some reason, I have no desire to hop on the Ain'ts Bandwagon with everyone else.

Bears – 30

I would like to see the Saints win this one and I'm pulling for them all the way. BUT if the Bears show up hitting on all cylinders, I think they'll win by just wearing NO down. I'm sure that the only film they're (Chicago) watching this week is the Skins vs NO. That's what I'd be doing!.

Interesting note I heard on talk radio today about this game.
Sean Payton grew up a huge Bears fan and was actually a replacement player for them during the 1987 strike.

I like the Bears in this game. Its going to be cold in Chicago and defense tends to win games. Th Saints also have a lot of young players at key positions such as Colston and Bush along with a rookie head coach.

Man, if Peyton pulls a win off against the Bears, I would favor the Saints vs any AFC opponent as in Peyton = Joe Gibbs in late 1981and all of 1982.
Either AFC coach facing him would have the equivlent of Don Shula (Belichick) or Bud Grant (Tony Dungy).

I heard a guy reporter from NO talking yesterday about the possibility of NO vs. the Colts in the Super Bowl, and how Archie Manning will have to disappear for a while if that happens, because they apparently still love him down in NO.

Even on a good day like last week, Grossman lost a fumble that gave the Seahawks 7 points. Go with the Saints.
