Folks in Boston are trying to convince Schilling to run against John Kerry in the 2008 U.S. Senate race. Curt has previously expressed an interest in politics after he retires from MLB. Schilling will be a guest on Boston's WRKO morning radio show on Monday at 9AM (eastern time) to discuss this further.

This would be a great race. I hope Curt throws his hat into the ring just for entertainment value. :)

Do the Red Sox do anything baseball-related anymore?

They signed a Japanese pitcher for lots of yen and got rid of Trot Nixon, but that's about all. The kept Manny, too.
And they spent millions more on improving Fenway Pahk.

I hear they have also taken 65 years to finally sign the always-healthy Drew...

A republican win in Mass? Not going to happen, unless Papi is a republican...

Its bad enough when movie stars get into politics, can we have an constitutional amendment to ban every sports player with more than 4 years service also?

We all know Governors don't count for anything:) . Just for fun I looked it up, last Republican Senator was in 1979.

I actually know someone who's related to Mitt Romney. Was suprised, to say the least.

Kerry's finished politically everywhere except maybe Mass. I thought it was funny when he announced last week he was not going to run for President. Gee, you think John.

Perfect, I think Heath Shuler only had three years of service.

Here's an update. Curt said on Monday that he desires to pitch in 2008, but he has discussed entering politics with his wife.

The Republican Party in Mass. seems pretty happy about their new prospect, though!
