Who didn't see her untimely death coming? It's a shame none of her "circle of friends" helped her at all. The really sad thing is her new baby is an orphan now.

I'm surprised we don't see this more often. We know of celebrities with notorious substance abuse problems like Lindsey Lohan, Whitney Houston, and Paula Abdul who might end up like Anna Nicole. A tragic trajectory.

The really sad thing is her new baby is an orphan now.Well, presumably the infant has a father. Just who that father might be is a matter of dispute, I understand.
Frankly, if that infant was raised by a tribe of chimpanzees it would have a better chance of growing into a well-adjusted adult than if it was raised by Anna Nicole Smith.

Looks like the infant will get that chance now. Its sad though to lose a mother, and not really even know her.

you know, considering how badly foster care turns out in many cases, orphanages might not be such a bad concept..
old newt got flamed for floating that idea, but some moms (and dads) should not be allowed within 50 feet of their offspring

He only favored them for the children of poor families. Rich, but lousy parents were considered perfectly fine.

yes... because money is involved, rich orphans seldom arent wanted... but the reasons for them being wanted are often not so nice..
still think that orphanages are better than what we are currently doing

MSNBC just had a split screen of forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht on one side, describing your standard autopsy procedure, and video of a very animated Anna Nicole on the other, vamping for the cameras on the red carpet. "The brain will be removed and dissected...an incision will be made down the torso..." etc...
Very poor taste. It'll probably turn up on the Daily Show.

I don't think Cyril Wecht knew about the split screen. The producers at MSNBC are to blame. It went on for a long time, too.
Along the same lines, this evening Entertainment Tonight ran another segment on "Who's Anna Nicole's Baby?" that they must have put together earlier in the afternoon. They talked about her in the present tense. Just weird.

I would also point out that the disgusting thought of getting married and having relations with not one but TWO 90 or so y/o multimillionaire men as part of a glossed over gold digging effort seems to be a really bad investment of her time right about now.
Aside from her baby not knowing his mother -- who will never want for anything financially -- my biggest sadness about all of this is that there will never be a MAC battle with her in it. Actually, I take that back. The baby is probably better off not growing up and having a heroin problem.

Honestly, it's at least debatable whether it would have been better for the child to be a rich baby with ANS as a mother or to be rich baby without a mother. I cannot see what kind of positive example she might have set for the baby growing up.

actually I am not sure the baby will be all that rich. The wealth Smith has is due to her ex-husband estate, which is still in court. Now the court would have to find tat the baby of Smith by another man conceived YEARS after the death of the octagenarian she was married to is the rightfulkk heir as opposed to the actual children of the octagenarian
The kid could end up not seeing ANY of that mother...plus there is a paternity suit which will heat up even more now that the Kid could be worth a few hundred million.

The courts have already found Smith to be the rightful heir to her late hubby's estate. That doesn't go away because of her death. If she died without a will, her next of kin wil most certainly be entitled to what is now owned by her estate. Just about any probate court in the country would rule it so.

From Wikipedia (so take it for what it's worth):
After months of waiting, Smith and her stepson Pierce learned of the Supreme Court's decision on May 1, 2006. The justices unanimously decided in favor of Smith; Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote the majority opinion. (See Marshall v. Marshall)The decision did not give Smith a portion of her husband's estate, but affirmed her right to pursue a share of it in federal court.
On June 20, 2006, E. Pierce Marshall (the ex-husband's son) died at age 67 after an infection. His widow, Elaine T. Marshall, now represents his estate.

Thanks to akh's "visual" evidence, I think you guys get my confusion about why so many people were in a hurry to have sex (especially unprotected) with her..and when I said 37, it obviously applies to her. Any other woman can be beautiful and attractive and sexy at that age..well, if you take away the Hilton sisters, Britney, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Ritchie, and basically every girl in the MAC polls..for them, I'd say that 18 years and 3 days is the point of no return (and I say that only because I don't know how legal/appropriate it is to say that is't about 3 years earlier than that)...
