The Bengals,Colts,Bills,Titans are over us LOL... I know we had the 5th defense but we didnt do good in a fantasy perspective.. we gave up a lot of points but damn those sorry defenses are over us

Don't forget that yardage allowed is rarely used in fantasy football.

Defenses are usually scored on SACKS, INTs, Fumble recoveries and TDs. And I don't see us racking up too many sacks this year.

I think there is genuine deep concern over the Redskins defensive front. Its been all over the media.

Last years D was a bit overrated. Look at points scored against, big plays over 30 yards, avg. gain against, interception totals, fumble recoveries, and penalties against. We were one of the NFL losers in those catagories. Plus our unspecial teams units blew.

There should be, you guys made a very good move getting Dalton but your DL is still very suspect. You have a great secondary, a good LB corps(w/ a great player in Arrington but trotter is coming off injury and Armstead is very overrated) so the only thing keeping your D from becoming a top D is that DL.

Actually...he was the most consistant LB for us last year. He made plays when needed...and was rarely at fault for bad play. He may have been "overrated" in NY, but with Trotter and Lavar getting all of the attention, I'd argue that Armstead is "underrated".

How can people who don't follow the Redskins nearly as closely as we do call a guy "overrated"? I never go to another teams MB and call their players overrated.

As dj said, Armstead was the most consistant player out of our LBers....dude still has some ball left in him...

I saw the guy play for years and his last good season was 1997, after that he was banged up and living on his reputation. I didn't hear anything about him all year and didn't see much of him so it wouldn't be too crazy to assume he wasn't great, would it?

No, he plays for the Redskins. The only time you hear about the Skins is if its a bad light. Just because you didn't hear about him doesn't mean that he's underrated.

Come on. The 'Skins have had plenty of positive press through the years. The 'Skins are a marquee team and it's good for the league if they are good, you don't think the media wants to say some good things? Like I said in another thread you guys got a ton of positive press in '00 when many made you SB favorites and last year throughout preseason you guys were the "hot" team and many picked you as a SB sleeper.

And I think Carmike's point is the fact that us Skins fans have placed Armstead under the microscope during every game last season, unlike those who only can only see the box scores in Monday's paper. He is a consistant producer, and is far from overrated.

Armstead's good. Not Pro Bowl level, but solid and an above-average player.

The Skins' fantasy D is so bad because we won't rack up points in the fantasy world.
