Yeah I've been waiting for that punk Peter King to get back to me since last September.

I speak from experience when I tell you that's good that you aren't holding your breath.

I noticed that he said that the scoring drives against the Ravens was our first of the pre-season WHAT? Must have missed the drive against the Pats first teamers

Continues to dismiss our good play and discount anything the Skins do.

There is a special place in hell for guys like this.

I get a kick out of all these guys anyways since they were the same ones who annointed us champs a few years back. I think they're still smarting from it and will be naysayers until we prove them wrong.

I don't see what's wrong w/ the article? He's not saying Ramsey sucks he's saying IF he plays well the 'Skins can be good but if not they won't be. I think that is a fair assessment. He's not saying he won't be good but that time will tell, he has the arm but that's only part of the tools needed. Don't you guys agree that Ramsey's play will be a big factor in how far the 'Skins go?

Once again nyjunc you just don't understand because you're not a Redskins fan.

If this was the first article slamming the Redskins, it would be differently. But, this is the thousandth article that he's written about the Redskins in a negative light.

Its a Skins thing.....you wouldn't understand...

They always forget to say how smart Ram is!

the media is picking up steam for the regular season. I think we should get the bandwagon and meet the media head on.

Although, with Peter King and Jabba... my physics class in high school lends the theory that we will all be liquified.

He had to shake left-handed when greeted for this story.

And just what the hell is the relevance of that statement - the shrewd observational powers of Mr. Pisco???
I don't think so!
What an ass!

Yup same ole same ole with this guy...what cracks me up is alot of these guys are not even original. They just jump on the bandwagon. "Its shiek to put down the Skins and Snyder? Ok I will do it as well. "

It doesn't sound like he is slamming the 'Skins at all. he is just stating the obvious. No one questions Ramsey's physical attributes but he does have something to prove in the mental game. I think he will pass that test but who knows what will happen.

so let me get this straight nyjunc, They are Stating the obvious???? so you are saying that if the same was written about Pennigton a thousand times over, that you would not get frustrated about it. I guess you are the guy that will tell a fat person they are fat and not realize they have a mirror at home. Yes ram is still learning the ropes but he had better numbers than any other qb drafted last year. But i dont see articles on how carr or harrington need to work on their mental games. Is it because we have an owner and a coach who actually try to get the right weapons for their qb, and they dont, therefore they are exempt from public scrutiny????? We as skins fans are tired of hearing the same thing over and over again with no and i repeat NO hint of positivity in their messages.

Yes. Even after Chad was GREAT last year there have been questions of "was he a 1 hit woner, can he do it again?...". That's the way it goes, it doesn't bother me, I have absolute faith in Chad and I know ehen h comes back he will be great again. It's not a knock to have ?'s about a 1st year starter.

Before Chad got his chance last year I had to defend him like crazy all summer as many declared him a bust, wanted to draft another QB,... Those ?s were there b/c he hadn't proven anything yet and Ramsey hasn't proved anything yet.

As for Carr & Harrington, they are on bad teams w/ little talent so the expectations are lower. Ramsey has a very good OL and top notch WRs so he has weapons and the 'Skins expectations are higher than Hou or Det.

Apparently it is a big deal to 'Skins fans but I don't think it is. If he said Ramsey sucks and he'll never be any good... then I'd agree w/ you but he didn't do that. I think Ramsey will be a good QB but he still needs to prove it.

I didn't think he was too tough on Ramsey. The guy is unproven. Just like Carr and Harrington. Remember all the gooey talk about Tim Couch? Every once in a long while I get one right and I got that guy right. I kept asking: What has this guy ever done to justify all the articles about him being the next great thing? Now he's been beaten out by a journeyman. Ramsey might turn out to be very good. He might not. We just don't know yet. You cannot evaluate enough from five measly starts.

The start of the article was brash, but as a whole I see no bashing issue. I'm a big Ram backer, but he's got to become a more efficient passer. A higher competion % is needed. I think he'll do it and be stellar this year or next.

Life lesson of the day: Opinions are like *ssholes, everyone's got one. This includes the writer.

Can't really say what I think about Prisco right here. I know that many fans feel the same way. He, like many other football writers, seem to have exhausted the same old crap about the Skins, yet still pull it out at least once a week. I listen to the FAN all the time NYJUNC, so I know you're right when people question whether Pennington is a one hit wonder and such. I hope that Ramsey will put himself in a place where he can be asked the same question. By the way, if you read this UNC, let me know what you think about the Jets this year now that Vinny is running ship, and what you think about Robertson.

I still expect to compete for a playoff berth. W/ Chad I was thinking 10-11 wins and now w/ Vinny 8-9. Robertson is going to be a good one, he has not had the great stats in preseason but he has done a very good job. What I exoect of him this year is to occupy blockers and allow Abe & co. to roam freer and he has done that so far. he will only get better.

I agree with this, but CarMike's opinion in this thread describes the majority of my opinion on Prisco. When you have never, ever had anything positive to say, even if you are offering genuine critiques they all get lumped with the rest of the group.

Maybe if he went out of his way to write a story about a guy like Sultan who is busting his ass impressively in an attempt to make the squad instead of questioning Ramsey's mental toughness I could cut him some slack.
