On the Redskins (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/redskins/home.htm):
A Washington Redskins team that had crucial questions entering training camp found reasonably solid answers during the preseason.
Chemistry was the biggest issue. The Redskins had massive offseason turnover once again under owner Dan Snyder, and the team was challenged with assimilating a cast of new players during a relative short period of time.
The results, so far, seem good. Wide receiver Laveranues Coles stepped up as an immediate leader in a young receiving corps. The offensive line stayed tight after the additions of guards Randy Thomas and Dave Fiore. Running back Trung Canidate performed well enough to satisfy offensive teammates. And safety Matt Bowen meshed with the defensive secondary.
The regular season, of course, will be the true test. There are few worries about Coles, but the new linemen and Canidate must step up. Bowen and several new defensive tackles will have high expectations. And Chad Morton must get in sync with his blockers on returns, who often seemed lost.
