I'm getting this out early. Who do you want backing up our man Ramsey?

Johnson hands down.

Johnson are you kidding me?Woeful, as so elegantly stated here,is not worthy.Ramseys going to struggle some IMO.But i think he will be good without a doubt, this is SS system he's trying to master after al.Its not like he's playing for Norv or Marty with SD to hand off to when the offense sputters.SS and PR can be successful together but Ramsey has to make it happen.I say stick with Ramsey unless he's injured. And if that were to occur then i feel better with Rob on the sideline as the backup. With good protection he can be decent.Rypien wasnt exactly Montana nor was Joey T.But they had good lines thats what we have to provide for our QB's while they learn the system.

I say Johnson too but neither looked good tonight. Wuerfel proved he has no arm and Rob proved he does indeed fumble when sacked. Please don't let Ramsey go down.

Johnson. Definitely.

I think we keep Johnson and Hamden as #3 and wuerfel wont go to another team so we could call him anytime if need be.

Johnson.

But I must admit that it wasnt' fair to Woefull to have to play behind a line that as tinkering with position the entire 2nd and 3rd quarter. One minute Dockery was at Guard. THen he was at Tackle. Then Friedman was at guard...then he was at Center...(rinse and repeat)

I think the O-line coach was simply seeing who played the backup positions the best. Unfortunately, it affected the pressure on Woefull.

Regardless, I think our best opportunity to win outside RAmsey is Johnson. He can flee the pass rush and at least find an open receiver. (which is more than we can say about Danny)

I think Johson should be #2 and Wuerffel the emergency QB, maybe that way SS won't be so quick to make the change if things aren't going as planned.

Wuerfel's field is to small, almost Arena League II sized. Defenses know that he cant throw to far down field so they can afford to play all 11 men close to the line which makes the field to small with to few openings. He can move the offense but when he does it is more like the west coast offense than it is a "east Coast" or "Fun N Gun" type offense. If he could some how work on his arm strength to gain velocity and throwing distance I think he would be ok but until then, I would have to go with Rob.

Crap, put Woeful on the practice squad.......I don't think he'd get picked up off of waivers......LOL

I'm sure you know he is ineligble for PS duty at this point in his career.

I pick Johnson easily... but for more reasons then already stated. With Wuerfel as the #2 QB I think we have a better then average chance of seeing SS pull Ramsey at the first hint of danger and relying on his ole buddy.

Wuerfel has a talent... and it isnt in QB of the team. Use him in his strength and we may be ok.

I'm not crazy about either one of them. Gentlemen (and ladies)......we have a QB problem. I love Ramsey, but what if he struggles........or gets hurt?? The backup QB postion is something that we are definitely going to have to address in the post season.

1) Ramsey
2) Johnson
3) Wuerffel
P.S. Hamdan

Wuerfell played ok last night, but he held on to the ball too long. While rob didn't play as good as wuerfell last night, he does display the ability to escape the rush and gain some positive yards, which is something you can't say about wuerfell. The old rob wouldn't have read the blitz and would have gotten sacked because the jags were blitzing on almost every play. Spurrier should realize he has a better chance of winning a game with rob instead of wuerfell.

I think that Spurrier has no choice but to put Wuerfell as the #2 for a little bit, at least until Johnson starts to show that he can run the offense the least bit efficiently. Now, join me in a minute of prayer that Ramsey takes every snap at quarterback until at least 2006.

Sorry, I thought Rob Johnson was a running back....

I don't like him. I think he's a sissy (don't tell him I said that)
He refuses to take a hit preferring to run screaming for the sidelines, and when someone does run him down he fumbles?#@!

Hubbo, my Bills fan, dosen't like him in a Skins uniform any more then a Bills.

DW, God bless him, he's got it in the head; poise and smarts, but if someone could get him an arm please?

I don't beleive there really is a Hamdan...

And we prefer our quarterbacks to take sacks over scrambling because.....?

But must he scramble on every play?

I'd like to see him stand in the pocket and throw once in awhile

JoeDaSchmoe

Well, hey, if he scrambles every play and plays like he did against the Panthers, I won't have a problem with it.

He doesn't scramble on every play. A qb only scrambles when there's nothing there. Do you prefer for him to always stand in the pocket and get sacked? That's what he did in the past and he ended getting hurt trying to please everyone. Your hubby being a bills fan, should know. In buffalo, everyone loved doug flutie for his scrambling abilities. He ran more instead of passing.

Stop the tip toeing boys! I'm old and thick skinned!

I just think RJ could do a little better given his talent, even SS said he needs to wait a few seconds more before he bails sometimes.

I tend to agree that he'll take off running a little too early. Must have been all those sacks and fumbles in Buffalo.
