This guy is terrible. I didn't see the Baltimore game but has he actually caught a pass this preseason? He dropped at least three tonite not to mention a touchdown. I would rather have kept Cloman(sp?) at least he played hard and made catches. Russell always drops the ball and comes up looking for an interference call. So far he is terrible I know he is supposed to be fast (I haven't even seen that) but he needed to play big tonite and didn't. I'd hate for him to be our #3 if Jacobs was hurt on that play tonite.

In his defense, I think one of the possible TD's catches was pass interference where the defender pulled his arm before the ball got there, but everything else he should have hauled in IMO.

This is disturbing. If he continues to drop passes, teams will not respect his spee and he will not draw coverage away, thus not opening up the underneath stuff where Rod should thrive.

He definitly was not playing like a guy trying to make a football team! I think he has a confidence problem or something, there was no excuse on a couple of those dropped balls.

I guess the point become, how long do you wait for development since roster spots are valuable. The guys just does not seem like he can make the tough catches. He looks lost. Such high hopes, totally faded.

This team is built for the next three years according to Snyder, but realistically, probably 2 years tops. We can't be waiting for the #4 receiver, who is an injury away from being #3, to devolope. If Woodcock is that close to the 53 man roster, make him #6 and bump McCants and Johnson up!

Seems a shame to watch such speed go to waste.

(Can he transfer some of it to Rod?)

A positive for him is that me seems to be able to get seperation from DB which can be very good in a Spurrier offense, so I wouldn't give up on Russell just yet. I also have a truck load of patience for people, and Russell is testing it.

Good question Penn, how long do we wait? This will be an interesting weekend as far as cuts go.
