What do you guys project his fantasy value to be next year? 2nd round pick maybe?

My guess is the 4-5th round range at the earliest. He's a rookie after all.

It depends on the team that takes him.

Reggie Bush didn't get picked until rounds 4-6 in the drafts I participated in. As CJ is a rookie WR and would be no higher than my 3rd WR to start with, I would say he goes at or after round 8 in most fantasy drafts.

Someone may bite on him in the 3rd...but it depends on what team he goes, who his QB is, and if he will get the majority of passing targets. Realistically, I'm guessing 5th round as somebody's WR2.

Maybe in a keeper league but even then 3rd round is a considerable reach. In a non-keeper league, you would be laughed out of the room for drafting any rookie WR in the 3rd. I think it is even a reach to project him as a WR2, as I expect the same production out of my top 2 WR's -- 1000 yds, 8-10 TD's. WR3 is where you can afford to take a gamble on an unknown. Usually that position goes to a 4-6 TD player anyway.

I agree that taking CJ in the 3rd is crazy, but I've seen it happen enough times to know it is very possible. Every year, someone bites too hard on the highest WR of the draft, so I don't see this year being any different, especially with all of the hype CJ is getting. Wrong or right, guys like Fitzgerald, Braylon Edwards, Charles Rogers get picked too early.

If the circumstances were right, I'd consider CJ for my WR2. As I said, it depends on where he goes, who throws him the ball, how pass-oriented the team is and who else plays WR opposite him. If I already have two stud RBs and a very good WR and QB, I'd consider him in the 5th as my WR2.

Well said smoak. Also it depends on when your draft will be held. If he's had time to show his thing on the football for a couple of preseason games, you should have a better read on the guy.

In a 12 team league for $$$ i'm in, I wasted a pick in the 4th round I believe, on....***spensored***!!! I forgot the dudes name. Plays for Cleveland out of Michigan. Some help me out.

Anyways, it turned out to be a waste of a pick. [his rookie year]

***Edit*** Braylon Edwards is the dude I was talking about.

Braylon Edwards.

Don't worry...there is always "that guy" who does it in every league. ;)
