Okay folks, it's time to get this party started. Here is the deal.

There are 11 tickets currently available. Truthfully there may be other tickets that will become available within the next few days, and if that is the case an announcement will be made here so keep checking in to stay updated.

We have installed a PayPal account with the button to access the link to make your payment at the bottom of the homepage.

This will be a first come-first serve type of system. When making your payment, be sure to include your info to include:

-your real name
-home address (P.O. boxes are unacceptable)
-your hR handle (username) so that I can identify you)

*All payments must be received by Friday September 5th at 12:00 noon.

*If by then there are still tix available, and if some others become available through other means, it will be announced by then.

*This will absolutely end by 5:00 pm on the 5th. I will make an announcement shortly after noon on the 5th to let you know if there are any more tickets for sale.

*Be mindful that an announcement may come before the 5th if others do become available sooner.

I look forward to meeting all of those that I haven't had the pleasrure to so far, and thank you all in advance for making the 1st Annual hR Tailgate the success that I dream it will be.

Hmmm.... Well, I'd say the odds of me being able to come are pretty good, so what the hell, let's get ready for the youngin' to show up.

Where are these seats? And if I can't use PayPal, anywhere I can mail a money order to?

rskinsfan10

As of the time of this post 11 tix remain.

To update the process, here's the new procedure:

Post your interest to attend here. I will then PM you to let you know the status of the amount of tix still available. We will then discuss your ability to make the required payment in a timely fashion.

Also, if you already have tix for the game that you secured on your own, the tailgate will only cost you $10. I put this out there now since I know that I cannot get tix for everyone, but knowing that some will still want to attend.

Rusty Tillman's wife and I have the same name. Spelled exactly the same, which is rare.

Now go search...if you get it right I'll give you back your donut!

Lorri.

And if that's right, I could also tell you the names and ages of your kids. Scary, huh? ;)

That's right!

But how would you know the ages of my kids?

Well, unless one of them has a birthday in the next twenty-five days, they're 10-, 12-, and 17-year-old sons, and a 14-year-old daughter. Also, there's apparently a daughter Rusty had before you were married, who would be 24.

Like I said, scary. I can almost hear Twilight Zone music playing.....

JOE!
Rusty Tillman isn't my husband!!!!!

I just said that his wife and I have the same name.

(You see, you almost never see Lorri spelled with two R's..., so I thought it was cool that she spelled hers that way too...)

Give me back that donut!

Damn, got all confused there. When you said "Rusty Tillman's wife and I have the same name," I misread it as "Rusty Tillman's wife, and I have the same name." Like, you and Rusty both have the same name (which I thought was a bit weird to mention if you were married, but, enh, I was confused).

Got all excited thinking you were Rusty Tillman's wife, too..... ;)

Alright, just to make you feel better, my youngest son will be 10 on Friday. My oldest son will be 12 in November and I have a daughter, but she is 17 not 14.

So actually...you were pretty darn close.

Hmm is that Twilight Zone music I hear?

JoeDaSchmoe

Yeah, you and that other Lorri have eerily similar kids. ;)

O.K. I watched the game last night and I am Psyched about the Tailgate Party weekend!!!

And now………… a couple of questions from a Jersey Shore clam digger:

Anyone offer a suggestion on a nice restaurant for Saturday night? Will be staying at the Greenbelt Marriott and want to treat my bride to a nice dinner out!

Anyone familiar with the parking at FedEx - especially if I want to get my van near the tailgate area and do they offer handicapped parking - if needed?

What time should I plan on leaving from the Marriott on Sunday to make the tailgate considering all the travel and parking issues?

I know... :smash: :smash:
a lot of stupid questions but I really, really am psyched and want to make sure everything goes great - which I am sure it will with all the great people working on the Tailgate Party!

Thanks in advance for answering my questions!

NamVet,

In the immediate Greenbelt area near the hotel you have a TGI Fridays and a Bennigans. There are also fast food joints, but you did say a nice dinner so avoid those. If you care to venture a little further away from the hotel drop me a PM and I can give you some more names.

As far as parking goes, they have cash lots that offer shuttle service to the stadium. When nearing the stadium you will see message boards that will direct you to them. Again if you need more specific details, drop me a PM.

I don't have the answer for the handicapped parking question, but I would assume that if you do not have a parking pass that you will have to deal with the cash lots regardless.

NamVet:

If you are looking for GREAT Seafood, I would suggest Jerry's Seafood in Lanham, MD. It's about 1 or 2 exit's away on the Beltway, and the folx at the Hotel should be able to direct you.

You can eat Friday's or Bennigans anywhere, but Jerry's is a local favorite. Very comfortable Family atmosphere. Not too stuffy and AWESOME food.

Are there any tickets still available? I originaly only asked for 2, which I bought, so I'm good, but now I'm thinking about bringing my Crazy, fanatic brother. I haven't said anything to him just in case they're all claimed...

Die Hard here from extremeskins.

Just wondering.... I'm looking for 3 tickets together for the Giants game. Possible anyone can help me out?

Right now... I'm resigned to buying off scalpers.

Three together at this juncture would require a miracle, at least on my end. I don't know if there is someone else out there lurking that may have access to some and willing to help you out DH.

JoeDaSchmoe
09-11-2003, 10:48 PM
Hell yes. Come on, I know you want a crack at beating someone half your age. ;)

It'd be easier if I could figure out how to get a parking permit to the Green Lot without using a credit card.

Joe, are you saying that you're 16 or 17, and you have a credit card? Bro, be careful if you do....

JoeDaSchmoe
09-12-2003, 11:07 PM
No, I don't have a credit card, I'd like to find a way to get a parking pass without one.

Try EBay...you would have to get a money order though

CarMike
09-13-2003, 05:48 PM
Joe, I'd just hate to see you get into trouble with those things. Trust me, they're nothing but trouble.

JoeDaSchmoe

Don't worry, I've had the evils of the credit card pounded into me.

JoeDaSchmoe
09-13-2003, 06:44 PM
Oh, and the eBay thing... I'll take al ook there. Is it possible to just drive to the stadium in the days before the game and buy a parking pass there?
