don't know if i can go against this. I spend money to go to the game every week, my dad pays parking, i pay to take the metro from UMD, food is expensive (we don't eat or drink there, were there for the game :) ).
AT LEAST DANNY DOES EVERYTHING HE CAN TO GET OUR TEAM THERE. BETTER THEN AN OWNER WHO DOESN'T SPEND, I RATHER HAVE AN OWNER TRY TO MAKE THE TEAM BETTER.
SNYDER= THE BEST OWNER IN THE NFL / THE WORST GM IN THE NFL. GLAD GIBBS IS THERE

i can only say that rooting for the skins at the local sports bar has lead to very poor satisfaction over the past several years..
and before that, lead to poor satisfaction watching them at home
buffalo sabres #1 ????
hmmmm.. they must have dollar beer night every time the team scores.
they have never won the cup..
interesting

2 playoff appearances in 15 years and one of the most expensive tickets in the league? Yeah, I guess this sounds about right. Honestly, it wouldn't be that bad if Danny didn't oversell hope so much every year.

and the bills are #56... so it is not about the city of buffalo alone..
i get the feeling that hockey seems to poll well

Hockey took a major PR hit after the lock-out/work stoppage. They had to do a lot of things to get the fans back in the seats. living here in dallas where the Boys will always be #1 and the MAVS on a record type pace in NBA then the Rangers with a new manager Hockey is taking a back seat in this town big time. so the players/NHL and team management have done a lot to bring the fans back to the arenas. SO i can see how hockey is big in this rankings.

and they were 37th in 2006. I'm not suprised at the 2007 number at all considering the season they had.

Yeah, they have the Caps higher than the Skins despite the facts that they have played forever to half empty stadiums (except when the Penguins come to town  ) and have never won a thing.

I'd rather be a Redskins game with my friends and faqmily than any other sporting event in the world.

So, I take it that you disagree with the satisfaction ranking?

It's amusing how my hometown local team --Arizona Cardinals--does better than my beloved team.
I am wondering what data was used to compile the rankings....Cardinal tickets shot through the roof this past season, to just slightly above league average. And to just think the Bidwells hoaxed the taxpayers out here to finance the majority of the new stadium and he still goes out and raises prices 30%.
One thing my beloved will always beat the Cardinals is shown in the last 2 columns.

Its a joke. Certainly we aren't top 10, but some of the teams ahead of the Skins??? C'mon.
Here is my thing. If it is that bad, why do so many people keep coming?

Because we're mental, lol. And because, try as he might, we won't let Danny's greed destroy something beautiful.

High price tickets, high price stadium, sub .500 team, and nothing to get excited about in the near future ................... 108 seems a bit high ..........

Imagine how awful it must be for the fans of those 14 teams that finished lower on satisfaction than Redskins fans. Snyder is a terrible owner. I'm tired of hearing about how he's a great owner because he "tries." As Yoda once said: "There is only do or do not. There is no try." Comparing someone to Bill Bidwell does not a great owner make. I'd prefer an owner who spends less and keeps out of personnel decisions. The O'Malley family in Pittsburgh doesn't spend anything like what Snyder spends, but they usually win a lot more games.
Look, Redskins fans have no excuse for not knowing what a great owner looks like. We had one. His name was Jack Kent Cooke. He hired good people, let them run the team, and signed the checks. The result was 3 Super Bowl championships in 10 years. [And his wonderfully scandalous private life kept us entertained during the offseason.]
Dan Snyder is no Jack Kent Cooke.

I'm surprised we aren't lower. The disappointment of the team has nothing to do with support. Fans will always show up to every game. Unfortunately, they have always shown up to every game to be disappointed as of late. 2 years ago, when we sat at 5-6, I, like everyone else, was extremely disheartened and disappointed with the team. That 5 game run was one of the most exciting things I have encountered as a Redskins fan in many, many years...which made it all the more disappointing when we finished 5-11 last year. I will always love the team and will always support them, but I can't help but get so mad at the losers running the team into the ground year after year.

I don't disagree with anything you said, but why does that dictate your satisfaction with the franchise? I think too many people are basing their satisfaction on this second as opposed to over a period of time. I am completely dissatisfied with Danny, but I still love my team and look forward to every game.
Cooke was a GREAT owner, but IMO he also started this downward spiral into Hell by hiring Norv.

Cooke was a GREAT owner, but IMO he also started this downward spiral into Hell by hiring Norv.Cooke surely made decisions for too long. His decisonmaking in the 1990s was far inferior to his decisionmaking in the 1980s. He was, after all, a very old man and perhaps we shouldn't be surprised by that. But during those ten years Cooke was virtually flawless.
I'm very dissatisfied with the franchise. They lose a lot, the tickets and parking cost an outrageous sum of money, and the team over-promises on its product every year. In the end, though, it comes down to wins and losses. I'm not satisfied with a team that loses as often as this one does and rarely seems to learn from its many, many mistakes.
This has nothing to do with my love for the team. I'm also a Bullets fan and they've done nothing but lose for most of my life. I still watch all their games. But I sure wasn't a satisfied customer for most of those years. Affectionate, but dissatisfied.

what? yes they have. they won the cup when they had dominic hasek, who was the same thing as having a wall built in front of your goal.

So now you are "satisfied" with the Bullets? I guess my satisfaction doesn't move up and down as much (which doesn't mean I am right or wrong). I find the prices annoying but if I was dissatisfied I think I would stop going? I expect ups and downs in the ride and while this down is overly oppressive, the up swing in the 80s and early 90s was borderline spoiling to the fans.
And yeah I'm with you on Cooke.... he was the greatest and just made bad decisions late in the game. He was supposedly so tough on Gibbs but so forgiving of Norv???

I think hiring Norv was one of the last real moves Jack made. John Cooke was the president and Casserly took a more prominent role during the '90s. Jack was so old at that point, I really think he was on some sort of life support the last few years. John Cooke and Casserly represented the Skins at the meetings.

Except for Buffalo, which appears to be an anomaly (maybe people up there are just happy that they are in any major league sport at all), the rankings pretty much follow how teams are doing in the standings.
Fans basically care if their team wins or loses. The rest is just fluff that no serious fan really gives a hoot about. I know I don't.

Fair, but I loathed the Turner hiring from Day 1. I don't hold it against him or anything...
Actually the one decision I DEFINITELY hold against him was his treatment of Art Monk. He mistreated, alienated, and allowed a sure fire HOF-er (or so everyone in the world thoguht) to depart. That should have never happened and it pisses me off to this day.
Actually, did Monk ever do the one-day contract and officially retire with the Redskins?

That is just the nature of the business. The 49ers let Lott, Montana and Rice all go to other teams. Those are three of the, arguably, best ever at their positions.
And yes, Monk did sign and retire a Redskin.

Bullets at 47.....as high as they are going to get....lucky to be there....thank goodness for the Arenas revival...maybe they'll win their first round series.
Caps at 65.....AO and Semin (that's pretty much it folks...unless you count Clark with his mysterious "close to 30" goals)......without a bona fide center that can distribute the puck ACCURATELY they will never get much higher....maybe Backstrom will help next season.
Nats at 78.....enjoy this ranking while it lasts because they will absolutely stink this year.....I think they will barely win 55 games.
Skins at 108.....they don't even deserve this rank.....should be worse.
Sad state of affairs in DC in regards to sports.....and I'm grumpy (it is snowing here again).
Yeah, it may sound like I'm hating....but I still luv' em all!

DONT AGREE with any of your opinions other than the Caps(but then again I care less about them). The bolded thing you say is just ridiculous. The Nats are goin to move into a brand new stadium next year and everyone has very low expectations like yourself SO they can only IMPRESS and I see this stupid rating thing go up for them.

There is a saying, " a fool with money will soon be parted. " and that's exactly who Snyder is. A fool. And that's why were where we are at. Because even thou Gibbs is here, he is operating in the same manner as things were BEFORE he got here. And that's why we have the 6th overall pick in the draft.
