From the article about Moore starting Thursday on the WP site:

The Redskins began their final round of roster cuts yesterday by telling eight players they would be released. All eight played in NFL Europe and had roster exemptions for the previous round of cuts.

The group included:

RB Robert Gillespie
OL Akil Smith
DE Mike Cecere
DE Jonathan Brown
DE Andre Arnold
DB Larry Austin
DB Fred Booker
DB Jordan Younger

No shockers so far.

Like you said Rat Boy, no surprises so far.....I wonder if we'll use a PS roster spot on Gillespie again this year?

I would have liked to see Gillespie get some more opportunities in game action. Didn't hardly see the field from what I was able to gather.

He has some talent too. Reminded me alot of a young Dave Meggett. He will get picked up by someone.....wouldn't surprise me to see Parcells maybe grab him off the waiver wire. We shall see. Just a victim of a crowded backfield.

If Akil Smith was on the bubble he burst it himself with those two holding penalties during one drive against the Jags.
