A league source tells us that, if the 'Skins fail to make the playoffs in 2007, Snyder might be firing the only person whom he hasn't fired yet. Himself.

"He seems to be starting to realize that he's the common denominator for every season since he bought the team," said the source. "The question right now is whether he loves the Redskins enough to walk away and let someone else take over."

The source said that another possibility would be for Snyder to sell the majority share of the team to someone else, and then to take a backseat to a new owner.

I think I might cut off my right hand if I miss that pesky note one more time while playing guitar.

Wow that is crazy. I know a lot of people knock Snyder, but he definitely has spent everything he has into this team and organization. A lot of people don't like the sense of commercialism that he has brought to the Skins, but he has made them the most profitable organization, in professional sports. That is saying something. And, he did bring Gibbs back...

please take a look in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, note the date, does that hold any significance to you? April 1?

Source: (http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm)Happy April fools day!! I kinda like the idea of Vick legally changing his name to Ron Mexico and Jerry Porter playing QB for the raiders though lol.

I like this Quote:

As we've learned over the years, part of the problem arises from the reality that the "real" media isn't always a reliable source of information...

Yeah, it's funny so many people fell for this article and the McNabb bit.

It's a shame it's not true. A new owner might install good football people to make personnel decisions.

I gotta admit I was buying the McNabb headline when I first saw it. :)

The hell with pride. He picked this franchise for a reason; he gets rich, whether the team wins or loses.

As I read an almost pro-Snyder quote in this thread, I suddenly came to the realization that Snyder would probably only be recognized - even "hailed" - for some of his accomplishments here (a la bringing Gibbs back) if he in fact decided to sell the team (or die, etc, etc.)

Just a thought. Cool joke, though. I had forgotten all about it being April 1st.

I wish the community could buy the SKINS just like Green Bay did with the Packers. But, then again would anyone in DC be able to agree on anything. I don't know.

I realized this was an April Fools joke shortly after I posted it . . . should of drank that cup of coffee before I got on the computer . . . but either way, I thought maybe it would conjure up some opinions on what the reaction would be if Snyder were to sell the team . . .
