Putting aside the Briggs talk for a second, the first football games scheduled for the Skins were announced today. Ok, it's not the regular season, but at least it's not based on rumor either.

Now, how do you think Briggs would look chasing after Vince Young in the first preseason game?:)

No Panthers this year. Surprising.

Thanks for the link SkinsfaninNJ.

I'd be looking for the Ramsey-esque clothesline!

Those games against the Steelers and Ravens will be tough... 3 days each! ;)

I don't know why, but I don't like the fact that we don't close at home

Akh is married now and not allowed to attend games. ;)

He has chores to do.... and not the good kind. I'm talking he'll be on his knees cleaning the floor and scrubbing the toilets.

I see the Redskins hype machine is already hard at work:

"This will be the first time Antwaan Randle El faces his old team!" for the Steelers game.

Puh-leeze! :)

Sorry...but "home games" against Baltimore and Pittsburg are far from actual "home games". FedEx will be full of Steeler Yellow during that game, you can bet on that.

I always hate home games against the Ravens, b/c their fanbase is so cheezy in those purple camo pants and pimp outfits.

With the super-vanilla play-calling of the coaches you really don't get to see much. Perhaps because it took so long to perform the Saunders offense (pre-season and about 6-7 games in regular season) they'll juice up the pre-season some.

One guy you WON'T see is CP!

Astute predictions on both counts my friend.

I HOPE YOUR RIGHT!!!

But i have a feeling he will be in there for 1 series in the first game. A quarter the 2nd. A quarter the 3rd. And 1 series the final game. I cant say that for the entire number 1 squad, but for CP i think that is how it will go.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO INJURIES

Just tell him that if someone intercepts, let them score. No need to make the tackle in preseason.

Will any of the preseason games be televised live outside the local Redskins area?
Redskins fans in Philthy want to know;)

That schedule looks very "regional". Does the league have a policy on attempting to limit travel during the preseason? I can't remember the Skins leaving the east coast for preseason in recent memory (outside of Osaka and Canton for special games).

Here is the television schedule. The first game will be on NFL network. But that might be it. But I think NFL network plays all of them at some point or another. Hopefully the Skins don't end up being the 2:00 am Sunday morning game.

I think you always play region non-divison games. Aside from the special games (HOF, Osaka, etc) I can't remember a preseason game that wasn't Miami, Atlanta, Carolina, Titans, Pittsburgh, Jets, etc.

i was thinking about the same thing myself earlier and believe that to be the case

also i dont think portis will get away with not playing in preseason. perhaps maybe just in the second and third game tho. he does have a new guard to get used to running behind.

Preseason: worst time of the year for a football fan. Nothing to gain, everything to lose.

Yes from that perspective. But there is also the chance to see young guys play who normally wouldn't sniff the field... And if you screw up, it doesn't count. I actually like preseason though it could be two official games and more scrimmages... But the owners need to make their money

Problem is that they don't sniff the field after the preseason games either..;)

GREAT! We get to see our starters play against three big, nasty, hard-hitting defenses.
