Wow. The range of emotions this post elicited. At first I was livid, then I saw the smiley, then I LMAO.

Cool. One less roster spot to worry about.
Hopefully, he continues his progress and becomes the next Barker.

Decent resign. I still would like competition for him in camp but if he is consistent in the pre-season I will be happy.

He played well during the final stretch of the season. Hopefully he'll continue that good play FOREVER!

I don't think competition for Frost is important. Frost is all the Skins would need. He is an adequate punter and a good holder. In a pinch, he can kickoff and try a field goal.
Having said that, the team should probably bring in a second punter so that DF wouldn't burn his leg out in training camp.

I take back all of those things that i said about him during the pats pre-season game. During the reg season he saved us with some really good punts. I hope this season is another one to build on.

I hope if he does well the first three quarters of the year we sing him to atleast a three or four year extension insted of allowing him to prove himself and move on to another team. We need some consistancy out of him but, he's got one boomer of a leg.

2 million per for a punter, let alone Frost? Jeez, I thought I'd have everyone screaming what the ----!? LOL!

well i did question the price. as 2 million a season would be expensive for a punter. im willing to bet he just signed his tender offer, which is what, just under 900K?

Yeah, close to that...I'd guess it's a one year deal, to see if he's for real before resigning him to a multi-year in '08.

I'm very happy about this as I think Frost made as much if not more progress than any player wearing the burgundy and gold. He'll still shank the occasional kick, but that is a lot better than hitting the occasional good punt. :D

Good resigning. If we keep Frost to focus solely on punting, he should continue to improve. I like what he did after we signed Suisham to handle kickoffs.

2 million per for a punter, let alone Frost? Jeez, I thought I'd have everyone screaming what the ----!? LOL!It would be a good deal for the Redskins, because we are talking about the Skins. They give out millions like they are nothing. Nothing would surprise me about the money these players get on our team.

Ole Derrick and our FG kicker ("Squeezam') like to hit too! I hope these guys really turn on the lights this year.

I SAID decent resign...jeebus. Anyways competition in the kicking game is important for two reasons:
1.) Frost seems to kick better when his job is on the line.
2.) Injuries happen in the NFL and you need a guy who is only a phone call away.

Jack Frost is back, but I still think David Lonie beat him out last preseason, and what happened to the kid Andy Groom? He could boot it 60 yards consistently. We should pick up Nic Schmidt in the draft. I always like a punter who is 265 lbs.
