Eddie Robinson died at the age of 88 yesterday. A lot of you may not know about him but he is a legend in the college football ranks

This man was a pioneer in college football. He's the guy who opened the door to make it possible for black coaches -- in football, basketball, whatever -- to get their shot. He started it all and a was character guy to boot.

possibly the best college coach ever. Grambling was a powerhouse back in the day.

I can't imagine the numerous indignities he suffered on his many road trips around the South during those early years. He was a great man. RIP.

Hearing Doug Williams talk about him was really moving. My heart goes out to the friends and family of Mr. Robinson.
