All I know is that efverybody better hope that I don't buy team once I hit Powerball.... I'd even consider putting myself out on the field. At least Snyder hasn't done that... :D
Sorry Big Poppa, even if you DID hit the powerball you'd only be able to purchase a down payment on the value of the team...but you might get to play special teams;)
This is Gibbs' "rubber" year IMO...if things don't dramatically improve this season, he may step down or go get a true football GM...and while I truly hope dramatic improvement happens, I ain't gonna put any of my money on it. W8NCN07

Yep, it is sooooo obvious about Vinny. I can't argue with the points on the non-GM actions, the oddity of Gibbs bearing Snyder and Cerrato sins, wrenches my gut! I love Joe Gibbs the man, the football legend and the interaction with the two wannabe GM's is watering down some awesome potential at times.

Not often that happens, eh?

Though I'm not happy with Snyder, I still choose to have some optimism, hope, or blind faith, whatever you want to call it. I do believe he cares about the Skins, he grew up in this town as a Skins fan, like many of us and I think he will check his ego at some point if this team continues to be mired in mediocrity or worse. By that, I don't mean sell the team, that won't happen but I think he would step back eventually and let someone else run this team. I just hope it doesn't come to a point where the fans have to stage protests to make it happen.

When it comes to Redskins football,Dave and I have always been on the same page.

We all want to see Snyder succeed, but how long are you willing to wait?I'm about fed up with the situation and my optimism has waned.I've moved on to the "Put Up or Shut Up" phase.

Having said this,I will not abandon my team.I will however, abandon the money,my money, that goes into Snyder's coffers. He's done getting richer at my expense.

Also,I'd like to add that I'm not in a total boycott of the Redskins game day experience.I'm just not spending any extra monies, outside of the cost to watch a game.

I know exactly where your coming from. I stated as much here.

I believe we have had some personal conversations about this as well and you might remember that I know exactly where you are on this, from being there myself.

I'm neutral right now but if this draft turns into a debacle I'm done with him. He'd the common denominator in every offseason debacle that yielded nothing but a $50 will call fee.

Here's a twist:

The vote results formulated into a grade point average (GPA) for Danny...

I don't think "he's ok!" merits a 3 point value. It's barely above neutral and should be valued at 2.5.

You're probably right, but for the sake of doing something different, I equated it to a "B". A "B" is 3.0 on the grading scale, right? I've forgotten. Plus, with all of these new-fangled, feel-good grading systems these days, 2.5 is probably a "B" now, lol.

It's also "He's OK!" with an exclamation point, which implies emphasis. Like a Borat "OK". :D

It's not that you've forgotten..it's that you've never done better than C+, so you just wouldn't know...lol...;)
And by the way, given Danny's results and given the grade we gave him, I wish I had teachers that generous in school...

The only good thing I can say about Snyder is he is not afraid to spend His/OUR money. I was a season ticket holder for over 32 years, 30 of which was ole RFK and once Mr. Snyder took over the prices of EVERYTHING have done nothing but escalate enormously. I know everything goes up, except the price of big screen TV's, but after the price of tickets and parking, your still looking at a price that puts the average working man under the gun just to attend. Especially when you can't even bring any of your own food or drink. That said, as an owner he is totally clueless about how to build and maintain a winning football team.

Snyder has energy, enthusiasm and will spend money to win. However, his teams overall record should cause him to reflect on some more changes in the team's structure [read: a GM]. On the downside he has built an impatience and quick-fix mentality into the organization that has hurt the team and lead to a frantic turnstile of players through this franchise.

Gibbs is responsible for the Gibbs II era. For both Snyder and Gibbs this will be the "make-or-break" year in the court of Redskin's public opinion.

I see Snyder slowly becoming a better owner. But the proof of change is in the results. When we win more games people will like him more.

IMO just because you spend money doesn't mean you wanna win...it could be a means to justify why your hiking up the prices on everything..thus keeping the league off your back and getting the NFLPA's blessing cause you're paying everyone big salaries...but if i don't know what i'm doing but i wanna own a car wash, I get people that have been successful in running a car wash...yes Gibbs has been successful but and danny's been successful in making money...but whose been successful in player personel decisions? Hmmm...that makes up the other 3rd piece of the puzzle.....which is just as important....IMO

Also all that spending of money every offseason gets moral high, people purchase more Redskins things (i.e. Jerseys, of the new players), etc...

I wouldn't be surprised if the offseason signings make him money, and that's why he feels the need to do a big one every offseason.

He makes plenty of money no matter. With the new CBA the owners share most of their revenue from jerseys, etc.

was in Atlantic City and CP was walking through the lobby of one of the newer hotels. He looked me right in the eye while walking toward me and, so as not to attract too much attention, I said, quietly" Hey, 26 whats goin on?" He got a big smile on his face and put his hand out to shake mine. I asked about his shoulder ..he said he feels great and he said he cant wait for the season to start. It was like I was talking to someone I've known for years..He was so cool ..I really think I was the only one in the place who knew who he was . It was just me and him. I told him my son and I were huge Redskin fans and he said,"Tell your son I said hello." What a great dude. No autograph or picture..just a great day and one I will remember forever. Thanks CP!!
