Larry Burkhead seems like a nice, sincere guy who's been put through the ringer. I'm glad that he is the official father, finally. I don't see why he should not take custody of his daughter and become the custodian of her wealth. Let's face it, guys. He hit the lottery by chance and a series of unfortunate events.

The case over the money will continue in the daughter's name. Half-a-Billion dollars is at stake. I think a lot will go to the lawyers.

smoak, I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure this guy was claiming to the babies father long, long before anyone else was coming forth.

I'm happy to see it was him and not Stern.

Yeah, I admitted that I didn't follow it so maybe he did... And for the record I don't care for Stern either. I was hoping the baby was father by alien probe.... The outer space aliens rather than the illegal variety.

Yeah. Heck I was almost tempted to throw my hat in the paternity ring. You have just about the same odds that the DNA test could skew as you do of hitting Powerball.

Then I could have played for the Skins after buying the team.

I'm almost willing to bet that Birkhead will get custody, but depending on what her Will says (it is reported she had one), I could definitely see a court appointed trustee of the trust created for the baby. The trustee will make sure the money is used for the baby, but the trustee will also take a nice commission each year.

My understanding is Stern was appointed executor, but I have not heard anything about a trustee.

I don't care who gets the money, as long as it isn't Howard K. Stern. The dude is a money grubber, who has been leaching on Anna Nicole since the day he heard she could be worth 1/2 a billion.

The good news is that this little girl will actually know who her real father is growing up.
