Also, Joe Gibbs is going to quit after the 1st loss of the season and go back to Nascar.
And Daniel Snyder will have forced him out by trading away all future draft picks for the next 30 years to get TO.

Except for a couple playoff appearances, this team has sucked for a decade. No one is going to make any good predictions for this team.
I'd rather have the media underrate us, then spin a good prediction.

This is good for two reasons.
One...the Skins tend to do horribly on national TV, so let someone else have the games.
Two...this gives the nation more opportunities to see the Cowboys get exposed. :D

We blew monkey nuts last year, I wouldn't be excited either except I love the Skins.
Up to us to change the perception, Sportsradio 610WIP up here in Philly is SALIVATING over the Egirls first three games, the second of which is vs. the Skins - they all are predicting not only a win, but a butt-whoopin' by Chunky Soup and the crew on us, as well as an 11-5 or 10-6 at WORST record for Philthy.
Be happy most of you don't have to listen to this crap...only time it is fun is every year after the Eturds get eliminated...the phone lines BLOW UP with miserable fans and it is quite entertaining for me;)

The Skins are going to have to step up their game on national TV this year if we are going to have any shot. We've got 3 prime time games against good teams:
Monday night vs. Eagles
Thursday night vs. Bears
Sunday night vs. Giants in NY where we have been terrible lately
No to mention those nationaly televised playoff games!!!

GOOD! Because last year we were considered one of the teams to watch, and im almost positive some analyst predicted we would make it to the super bowl....so thank god they arent talking about us. We have no pressure from the media so its good, and we could be one of those suprise teams.
Also Carolina was HIGHLY predicted by many analysts that they were going to make it backj to the bowl....no point in payin attention to stuff like that. Lets see how it plays out, and avoid the media.

Quote: "Last season, the Cowboys played in the highest rated games on Fox, CBS, ESPN, NBC and NFL Network, and the networks hope to cash in again in 2007, starting with their Sept. 9 opener against the New York Giants on NBC at Texas Stadium."
It seems that the Boys are in high demand again! The Boys were the only NFC team to have a winning record against the AFC at 3-1. Thus when CBS gets a AFC game against the Boys it is a highly rated game as well.

Out of curiosity, do you see that continuing under Wade Phillips and the team’s adjustment period to a new staff or was that a Tuna by-product? If the defense can carry you guys early, I think you will be OK. If not, it could be a rocky start to the season.

I think the Cowboys are getting some love nationally because of Romo too. This is still a QB driven league, and the NFL is always trying to find the new flavor beyond Brady and Manning.
I will throw out this little cautionary tale to the Cowboy fans though. Last year's new golden boy QB's were supposed to be Eli leading the Giants in his third year and Culpepper with his new team. We know how those stories worked out.

Hmmm, that would also explain Tony being in the booth on MNF. :D

Here we go with the 5 Superbowl trophies. So what, we have 3 and neither of us have won one in awhile. There's nothing that outweighs the Romo botched field goal because he was put in the Pro Bowl after on so many games and everyone thought he was taking them to the promised land Put the brakes on, not yet.

Take Romo's last six games of the season....and multiply it by 10; that is how bad he is going to tank this year. Dallas would be wise not to give him that extension.
And then Brad Johnson limps on the field.....
I see bad things for the Cowboys, and I LOVE it.

People have no idea how good our team will be with Portis and Campbell on the field together next year. It's gonna be funny and Im gonna be betting like a champ early in the season. If we can find a serviceable SS, our team is going to ball. We just need a good coverage SS and maybe some Dline help, otherwise we are rock solid.

After a year and a half [24 games], he hadn't ever practiced with the starters or taken a snap on the field in a game. Considering how little true experience he had, I thought he acquitted himself pretty well. After this offseason of minicamps, QB schools, and TC/Exhibitions, I think he'll be getting some 2-minute drill experience.
He is one starter who should definitely get additional playing time in the exhibitions.

our problems in the two minute drill have been apparent throughout Gibbs second stint. we always start off way conservative in two minute drills. seems the first play is always a run as well. your worry about that needs to be in the coaching staff and not in campbell if you ask me
