I was listening to sports radio up here in Redskins Country (Baltimore:D)....and the natives are truly getting restless. There were several calls into the station from Ravens fans, complaining (again.........it's always something) about the Sports Illustrated poll. Apparently, SI is celebrating their 50 year anniversary by looking at a State in America every week. Recently, they featured the BEST STATE IN THE COUNTRY (Maryland, of course:p).
Anyway, what they are doing is "polling" state residents about sports (asking several questions related to sports). One of the questions is: What is your favorite NFL football team? The results were (according to the radio station......I haven't seen that issue of SI):
1. The Washington Redskins-- 27% :p
2. The Baltimore Ravens-- 25% :D
3. The Dallas Cowboys (WHAT:mad:)--6%
Has anyone seen the "Maryland" State issue?? Many Ravens fans swore that the numbers were "slanted" towards PG & Montgomery Co. residents. I too had a problem with the numbers. I thought that the gap between us (Redskins) and them (Ravens), SHOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH LARGER (knowing what I know). What do you guys think????
****On another cool note, I rushed to the stand to get the "Maryland" issue.........and they were already on Pennsylvania. In "polling" their residents with regard to favorite football teams, the voting went as follows.
1. Pittsburgh Steelers
2. Philadelphia Eagles
3. WASHINGTON REDSKINS.......How cool is that???
I'm sure that the Redskins will "win" the polls for D.C. and Virginia. THEY BETTER!!!!!!!!!!
