Lawyer Milloy just was cut from the patriots. He's only 29 and I know every time I see him he's all over the field making plays. I would go as far to say that he is one of the top 5 safeties in the league. This is a huge suprise. Do me a favor Snyder and cut Terrell right now and pick this guy up, but only if the money is right.

at the right price he would be a good pick up but he is more of a run stopping safety he isn't great in pass coverage.

he would be a better version of sam shade

Interesting. The same as O'Donnell or Dudley, bring em in if they're affordable/cheap. We certainly can't feel comfortable at the Safety spot.

We don't need another safety. I think were fine with Ohalate and Bowen. Why sacrifice the young developing players to bring in a safety that would likely require decent money. If we wanted a safety we would have gone after Kwame Lassister or Sammy Knight.

Milloy is a Pro-bowler......but I don't think we can afford him.

If someone is cut their new team just negotiates a new contract vs. assume their current contract - right?

If so - sign him to a 1 year deal for little over league minimum, but don't blow our cap (for Champ and Arrington) on him.

We're not going to get him for 1 year and the league minimum. Not when there are more teams in need of help at those positions with more cap room (Pittsburgh & Minnesota come to mind).

On the same CBSsportsline front page, an interesting article names the "ALL-Cut Team". Del Cowsette is the one Redskin on it.
Instead of Miloy btw, Marcus Jones DE form the Bills was cut. Anybody know if he'd be a good fit here?

I'd rather have Jones then Milloy. Jones is a pass rusher and we definitely could use a pass rusher.

Anyone that thinks we can get Milloy, an All-pro fro league minnimum is delusional. He was cut becuase he wouldn't renegotiate his contract and make it more cap friendly. The Cardinals, Saints, Chargers & Bills come immediately to mind as teams that could use him......

I think we are fine with Iffy and Bowen. If we were to sign a safety, we should sign a guy who can cover.

Marcus Jones had one pro-bowl year and then fell out of site completely, and he had that pro-bowl year on the Bucs D-line so it's pretty much a guarantee he won't have that much freedom here. He's also hovering around 30 I think (28 at the youngest) and there also might be a reason he can't stick with a team. Maybe the injury that did him in in the first place is still bothering him or maybe he just stinks. For a very cheap price, Milloy could provide invaluable leadership and let's not forget he also has superbowl experience as a starter and one of the keys on that defense. I actually think he might be a good pick up and if Bowen is as fast as they clame he is, they could always move him to free safety.

I Cant not belive he just got cut... he is easily one of the best safties in the game. Next to Lynch, Sharper, and dawkins.
This is crazy

it's all about the Benjamins and Milloy and Rodney Harrison are almost identical

Looks like the Bills are making the strong early run at him and are trying to get to play him this Sunday.

Milloy would be a great fit anywhere, but I find it hard to think that he would end up in DC. Heard on WFAN in New York that the Jets are looking at him. They have Sam Garnes at SS right now and aren't happy with his coverage skills.

We won't get Milloy although with him next to Bowen that would be pretty nasty!Milloy wants the big bucks and he would'nt be the last piece to the puzzle here anyway. We could use a DE instead as previously stated and i have even come to realize we dont need Bruenell either.
