I will still get Madden but its the same thing every year. I hope this will force Madden to put a better product out.

Doesnt sound half bad, and Madden, while I love it, is the same thing...year in and year out.

I would be offended if it were actually funny. That was an extremely lame attempt at a diss. I feel sad for whomever made that, because he/she is going on in life thinking he/she's funny and that he/she "got us." I always feel sorry for people who try to be funny and aren't. I always have to fake laugh just to make them feel better. But I digress...

Back on topic, I'll wait until I see a full-motion clip of this game before I pass judgement on it. It seems like it'd be pretty fun, but I don't know if I'd buy it.

Gotcha...and I know i introduced the guy but c'mon don't hold it against me....:Peace:. I met the dude on myspace, he was already a friend of Superskin, we got to talking he seemed like a diehard , I told him about the site and started a thread for him...thats as close to a buddy as he ever became, you know I'd pick you guys and this board over an outsider anyday

that's pretty cool. It won't be as popular as madden for a ton or reasons but I'm glad they thought of a way to get around EA's monopoly.

If they sell it for $20-30 like they did the old 2K games then I will buy it. They should also release it a month earlier than Madden, that's what got me to buy 2K a few years back.

that's the question I was just about to ask. I thought EA had exclusive rights. It hought when I saw this that it would be title outside of NFL but it has old NFL players in it at least so??? when does EA's exclusive title expire? I am tired of the same old madden every year with no competition.

Retired players are not covered under the NFLPA. So EA exclusive is only with current players. So this game will have all retired players in it.

My thoughts as well...........But apparently 2K will use generic teams and such to populate the game (that is my assumption)..........I doubt we will be able to switch team names over..........The 2K Footbal was merely ok......Kinda screwy on the RB's movements (when cutting)-............Hopefully that will be rectified in this release.......I am not too sure if I will purchase this title (will more than likely depend on the pricing).

I read a preview of the game in my Game Infromer magazine. The only thing that could cost 2k is the lack of a franchise mode. Other than that, it sounded like a good game.

Yep, I won't buy a sports game without some type of career mode. Good idea and I hope it does well. Maybe they'll include Monk in this group of Legends?

I think EA has exclusive rights of the NFL for about 2-3 more years.

No franchise mode, eh. Could be fun but I don't know. I'm definitely getting Madden this year so I'm not sure if I'll pick this up or not. Madden is putting in a bunch of changes this year, word is it's going to be incredible.

Saw a beautiful pic of the 2k game, though, that is SUPPOSEDLY real. Looked amazing but it was just an extreme close-up of Jerry Rice's face so you couldn't get a feel for how the actual game looked.

I think the players that still have deals with the NFL are off limits. I.E. Darrel Green and Art Monk. I believe both available on Madden. All n all I think a decent list and the Redskins are well represented.

I'm sure they had to approach each player indvidually. Unless all these guys are part of some "retired NFL players" organization. Art may be contractually prohibited from being in it, he may have not wanted to do it, or 2K sports might be stupid.

Youtube obviously isn't the best for video quality but the graphics look disappointing. I'm sure it'll look quite a bit better in person, but how much better?...The animations are quite nice, though.

The uniforms leave me dumbfounded. I can't believe how hideous they are. It just looks like random primary and secondary colors thrown together. Horrible.

Animations are definitely the highlight.

Well thats gonna suck, that pretty much seals the deal for me, Ill just wait for Madden. The graphics do look nice though.

My fear with the new Madden is that it will become more video game then football simulation.

The word friend should be used lightly here. I just met him on myspace. A true Redskins fan indeed, but I dont understand the sudden fascination with this site by the youtubers. I've said my peace over there and I am done with it. Hell, I am starting to smell football in the air when I walk out my front door again!
