I wonder if Watson will get a call from them as a possible backup to Gary?

I honestly was expecting the Cowboys to sign Watson by now. I'd hate say it but they could use him the best. They have 0 RBs that are near Watsons abilities....

Does the fact that he hasn't signed with another team yet somehow validate the decision to release him and/or explain why we couldn't trade him?

It could be that or he maybe trying to get a better deal or deciding which team to go to.

I think the Stewart injury is a blessing in disguise for the Lions. Gary is a GOOD running back. He will do very well for them...better than Stewart would have done.

I was thinking the same thing. If they were able to compete head to head in camp Gary would/should beat out Stewart hands down.
