i did a quick estimate of the words i've posted on hr, and i think it's around 100,000. 'the old man and the sea' was less than 7000 words. 'as i lay dying' was around 70,000 words. both would fit inside my hr corpus. this is disconcerting. though, i can take comfort in the fact that melville, ayn rand, tolstoy, and proust are all still well beyond my online chatting efforts. for now.

Heck I've been here twice as long as some, yet they have 2x the amount of posts that I do....I'm more like a Jane Austen novel

How'd ya do that?
i did an average word count of 5 posts then multiplied by my post number. not very accurate. ball park at best
