The opening and current vegas line has Redskins favored by 3. Yet the "pick 'em" game has Jets as 3.5 point favorites?!?!?!


Mike, are you setting the line for our "pick 'em" games???? ;)

Actually... the Giants are predicted to wint he East by many. Both the Giants and Rams are said to be very good this year... so that qualifies it as a sleeper pick.

How does it qualify as a sleeper pick if both are supposed to be good? It's just a tough decision. I picked the Rams too, it's not like picking the Cardinals over the Bucs.

Help!!!!!!

Hubbo joined and was explaining to me how beat the spread works. I obviously didn't get this when I signed up, because I was like "Huh?"

Can someone give me a quick tutorial?

The Redskins were favored by 3 1/2 points. So actually, when the game started, the Skins were already losing 3 1/2 to nothing. In order for you to get it right, the redskins would have to had won by 4.

Same goes to all the rest of the games. I believe that the teams on the right are the favorites and the teams on the left are the underdogs. It should say it on top of the pickem board.

Okay, the Skins were favored by 3 points last night, so if you picked them you were correct. If we had only one by 1 point say 16-15 and you picked them, you would have been incorrect. The winning team must win by covering or exceeding the point spread. It's not just a matter of picking the winner.

You're right Mike, I don't believe that site updates it's spread after a certain time. They must round down because the Skins only won by 3 even though they have the spread at 3.5

Actually, the Jets were favored by 3.5 in the pick 'em game. The favorites are listed on the left. Everyone got the pick correct except for Shabba, paelwayfan and truant. Candiman did not make a pick.

So I get it now, so since I've picked Miami...they have to win by 12.5 points for me to win that game? Grrr...Ok I'll pick better next week
