Anyone know why Watson can't be on our practice squad? It doesn't look like he's been picked up by another team yet.

One---i am not sure he would accept it, kind of like going from a starting rotation to PS. umm, doubtful.

Two---i dont believe he is eligible

Three---not sure i woudl want to tie up a spot for another RB. We have enough. With two Tes on the roster, adding Ware was smart. Having two QB and adding Hamdan was smart. Clifton Smith was smart siomply because he is raw but showed excellent flashed that can be developed. I like the current PS roster. Skins did a nice job with that.

Players aren't eligible for the PS if they've played in a regular season game.

JDS, are you sure? I thought Skaggs played in a couple games for us.

I do agree with PSF though. We do have a nice list of PS players...

Was Watson on the practice squad at all in 2001, his first season? Not sure of the rule either, but I thought you could only be on the PS once?

You cannot be on a practice squad if you dressed for 6 or more games in a season (an accrued season) according to the labor agreement.
