Lawyer Milloy (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2003/football/nfl/09/03/milloy.bills/index.html)
Wouldn't have been worth it for us, maybe the Bills can afford it. At that price they can take him. He might pan out for them and even if he would have panned out for us, we couldn't have afforded that.

Why exactly would they want him for 7 years anyway? He's already exiting his prime years....

Its not actually going to be for 7 years. Its to lessen the cap hit immediatly by spreading the salarey over a longer period of time.

Seven years..all that would do is add to our cap problems in 3 years. Geesshh not a very smart contract offer. yea I know it will keep his cap figure down this year but just more dead space later on. Glad this did not happen, maybe this was one way to try and get both Lawyer and still have money for Champ

Well, I suppose that makes sense.

I'm sure he took into consideration that the Bills play the Patriots because if it was a money thing, he would have went with us if the offer they reported from us is true. I'd rather we develop our young talent anyway.

Glad we didn't tackle that one.
