From Fanball.com:
Chiefs runner Priest Holmes signed a four-year extension on Wednesday, according to the AP. Holmes had promised not to play in the regular season without a new contract, but the Chiefs were guarded as they waited to make sure that Holmes' hip injury was healed. Holmes has led all NFL players in yards from scrimmage over the past two years. The deal is reported to be worth $5 million per year with a $10 million signing bonus.
10 million dollar signing bonus for arguably the best running back in the NFL last year? Wow....that sure does makes Champ's request of 18 million pretty high, huh?
