Yeah, I didn't notice the red bar when I was taking the quiz, but I figured out that I got the one wrong with the quote from Aliens... I probably should go back and watch that movie again now. :)

It is indeed... it is one of the few mexican movies I like, and by far the best I've seen. It's from Guillermo del Toro and won three Oscar awards

I've been interested in seeing this movie but I have read mixed reviews. I don't mind that it is subtitled, I just watched Apocalypto and the subtitles had no bearing on the experience whatsoever.
Anyhow, does the movie have meaning or is it just a bunch of artistic imagery and indulgence on the part of the director?
Oh, I scored 71.

I'll leave Spicy with his more accurate choice of words to respond to this, but I personally loved the movie. It has a lot of meaning and is far from being just fantasty madness

I completely agree with JJT28...the story of the movie is great on many levels, and filled with meaning, and the artistic imagery is a small, yet important, part of the movie. Really highly recommended. Probably one of the two best movies I saw in all of 2006.

Alrighty then, based on the comments of JJT28 and Spicy, Pan's Labyrinth will be my next rental. I will give my review in a few days.

Adaptation is great, but then again I love all of Kaufman's films (http://imdb.com/name/nm0442109/).
I just saw Little Miss Sunshine and while I was underwhelmed for most of the film, the ending and some of the individual performances were great. The whole kid beauty pagent thing always creeped me out so their take on it was as funny as it was disturbing.

Mean Girls is a pretty darn funny movie, IMO. I saw it for free in theaters and thought it would be an hour and a half of suck, but I laughed out loud the whole time.
Tina Fey from SNL wrote the script and she did a great job. Yes, it's geared for teenage girls obviously, but it is really smart and witty. It's one of the best teen comedies in recent memory.
The upcoming SUPERBAD will make a nice male companion piece. It is an instant classic in the making.

Rich I think I have an idea about your taste. I would venture to say that you would like it. I don't think it involved artsy fartsy overkill at all. I liked the movie, but then again, I understand spanish pretty well, so the subtitles didn't really bother me either.
