Every year, BetUS.com puts odds on various NFL happenings. It’s the Super Bowl odds that get the most attention, but there are others.

The Redskins win the Super Bowl: 45-1
Clinton Portis charged with fighting pit bulls: 50-1
Portis rushes for 1,200-plus yards: 1-20
The Redskins make the playoffs: 4-1
Joe Gibbs retires: 30-1.

If the Skins miss the playoffs for the 3rd time in 4 years, those odds on Gibbs retiring should reverse. I can't seem to navigate the BetUS site to see the odds on every team. I will say that those odds are based on how people will bet and are adjusted accordingly, so they hold little merit to me. Furthermore, odds and point spreads are set very conservatively before the season has started, as no one really knows what will happen.

Just doing a google search brought me this site (http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/futures/) and they have us at 50/1 to win the Super Bowl and 20/1 to win the NFC Championship.

I don't think either will happen for us this year but I do like our chances better than some of the teams above us and all of the teams below. If anyone is going to Vegas anytime soon, let me give you $100 to put on the Skins to win it all. I could afford to throw away a Benjamin and the winnings would pay for my trip to the Super Bowl.
