Northwest is long but pretty open. Needwood is entertaining. I'd play both again and I haven't played in years. On account of my narrow urethra.

Depending on when it is and if I can get out of work, I would love to be a part of this. Any course is fine. I'm not a really long hitter, so I would prefer something short and challenging, but whatever is chosen is fine with me. Is there a fee for the day or are we just on our own?

far from it Drew. I played the past two years. My drives are pretty good. But after that I suck.
We're out there to have a good time. I think I may finished 3 holes in the past two years. If I do to bad, i normally pick up and move on to keep things running smoothly. :)

Nah, it got dark. We're more like two rounds in a day type guys. But U of Md was nice enough to close the clubhouse and go home before we got back in.

Penderbrook in Fair Oaks is pretty good and not too difficult plus it has deals. Fairfax National is nice and wide open so it's good for hackers. I guess most of the other courses are pretty far out.
I'm good anywhere and will bring at least one other golfer.

Exactly. Don't forget about them letting several groups go ahead of us which is why we only got through those 14 holes. That's the part that pissed me off. They let the one group that was making the turn stand there for about 30 mins. Then they switch us to 9 but they couldn't find the group that was supposed to go in front of us. What a crock. That kid, that was supposed to be the starter, didn't give a damn at all.

I seriously doubt I can make it but if you all decided on Greendale, I might just find a way, just for nostalgic reasons. I have never played that course but I grew up within a 5 minute walk to it.

I'm definitely going up for this! I'm going to bring wifey to the tailgate and the bowling...but she will be shopping during golf. You should definitely try and make it up.

mike, kenny and i played there last year and i recall it being pretty nice for the price. i want to say they'd just aerated the greens, though, so i could blame my putting prowess on something other than my piss-poor stroke. i remember it being, nice, though.

It's cheap too apparently.Enterprise is a very nice course and normally does well in the ratings. The word I've been hearing from folks is that it gets packed and pace of play is slow. It wasn't like that the last time I played there but it's been over a year.

I'm going to start working on my friend today. He's already tried to pull an "I'm not sure if I'm going now" on me so it shouldn't be too hard.
Your not taking the wife to the Closet 6 this year are you?...lol
Is their any format when ya'll play before the the tailgate. For instance does everyone just go out and play their own ball or do you do 2 or 4 man scrambles or something along those lines?

Do you all want to start around 11am? Gives everyone time to relax a bit before bowling?

Hey, I just talked to my friend and we decided to try to catch a game together in the middle of the season, so put me down as a yes with a question mark for golf.
The reason for the question mark is now I need to go about finding a single ticket. If/when that happens, then we can remove the question mark

Not got me hotel yet, but I'm looking at the Dupont Circle/Foggy Bottom area. I know of a bar in Arlington - watched the England/Nireland and US/Mexico WCQ's there, but I dunno can't be arsed travelling that far.
And no. Please don't give me directions to the Blue Oyster bar...

Your best bet will probably be Fado' in China Town across from the Verizon Center. To be honest though, if you're in Foggy Bottom, the Orange Line is just as quick to Summer's, the place in Arlington.

That shouldn't be a problem, cause I have a single ticket to every game this season. It should only cost you about $ 50 dollars. This shouldn't be a problem cause I should have seats elsewhere in the stadium.

Good time yesterday guys! IBB had an amazing front nine and shot a 38. He had some real nice par saves during those holes too. We should try to get out more than just once a year.
