just heard on the radio (Tony K) that it might be storming and the wind blowing up to 40 MPH. WOW!

Of coarse tony's guest, Jaws, said thats NFL football weather and not Spurrier weather so the game definately favores the Jets running game attack

I live in FL so I'm not up there to see and hear the reports

anyway, I thing Jaws is wrong -- in any weather, in any condition, the one factor that is hard to overcome is SPEED!

I just looked out the office window...and it is POURING!

I feel bad for the fans who were planning to go to the Mall tonight. 300,000 were expected....I'll bet 1/2 of that number comes due to the rain...

Just checked the web...and its calling for scattered T-storms all night long, with winds out of the NW at 11 MPH.

I think Jaws is right. Rain never favors the passing game, as it makes it difficult for quarterbacks to grip the ball. Also makes drops and fumbles more likely.

Hey Snyder is willing to pay for everything else, he needs to dome the stadium so that there is plenty of oppurtunity of Spurrier's pasing game no matter the weather...! :D lol

Or at least a retractable dome!

I'm at CP not too far from Landover and it seems to be clearing up right now. I think it'll be ok come game time. But I agree with Jaws, if the wind is blowing 40mph the SKins are in trouble.

no more then the Jets. Curtis isn't exactly the second coming of Walter Payton, so I don't think he is going to be all that huge.

Alot of folks are going to be suprised at how good of a power running team we have! with our line and Ladell running behind them, I think we will be ok.

Yea, people were writing off my Buckeyes because "without their running game they are doomed" They surprised everyone with their passing game, and the fact that their running game hadn't really lost a step without MoC. I think the same will happen tonight.

I'm at my office, a few blocks from the White House, and it is cloudy and overcast. No rain right now.

If I know Tony K......40 MPH winds was probably a SLIGHT EXAGERATION

But I like Ramsey's arm passing in the wind over Vinny's

I got to the game last night at 5:45 and their was no rain in site. All through tailgating and the game was great.

Now, about the retractable roof that dj_stouty mentioned.

This is a rumer that I heard from a relieable source. Our Mr. Snyder is taking advantage of the NFL having the kickoff game here, with the possablity of getting the Super Bowl in 2008. If we get it, he IS going to build a retractable roof so he will be able to host it.

NFL rules state that SB's are only heald at cities that the average temp for winter is 50 degrees or above, unless it has a domed stadium. The average temp for the DC area is 44 degrees, so we would have to need a dome.

Just a rumer. :D

I don't like it...football is to be played in the elements, whether it be rain or snow...

From what I can recollect, they abandoned the idea of adding a retractable dome because it was too expensive.

I think ratings for the Super bowl would go up dramatically if they started hosting SB's in cities like Denver or Green Bay or Washington. Some of the most historic cities are in cold weather cities and I think it's absolutely stupid that they can't host a SB.

Im all for a retractable roof, so long as we keep the playing surface all grass. Football was definately made to be played on the grass.
