Interesting post from Gary

9:05 p.m. ET

I missed this play during practice, but I was given a description of it: Jason Campbell handed off to Ladell Betts, who dropped back to pass. He tosses a pass to Jason Campbell, who grabs the ball with a defender on him.
It was a 25-yard pickup--and Campbell took a hard hit, to boot.
Does Campbell have a future as a wide receiver? "I would say ?No,'" Joe Gibbs said, laughing. "But he has the height for it."Hmm, Betts throws a pass to Campbell, interesting. Won't be seeing that during the season.

lol. yeah, im pretty sure we wont see that exact play. we could see the play that ARE took part in while in pittsburgh where he catches a screen, lofts the ball back to the big ben, who then throws to a receiver down field. touchdown.

Something tells me Gibbs marked a line through that play with his pen after seeing Campbell get hit like that.

Might make a good red-zone play. Besides, at 6'5" he would be by far our tallest reciever! Ha ha.

I would hate to be the guy who hits JC, if he ended up getting hurt.

scan the waiver wire, if some scrub CB is getting waived tomorrow then you know who the culprit was

I know i'm being prude, but shouldn't these type of plays be ran only when practice is closed to the public?

Teams will know to look for this during the season. And if there's no plan to use this play during the season, why run it at all in practice?

ive seen fitz say campbell is 6'5 then casey husband say hes 6'2. what is the official height? i know hes as tall or taller than collins.

(and since apparently fitz reads HR ;) ) please just to humor me, have the name of the QB thats throwing all these TD passes and not just the receiver. its been SO long since our offense was actually looking good in TC and the QB IMO is the key.

i think this is one of those plays saunders throws in just to keep his players interested. if we run that in a game i will be UPSET. i would much rather see ARE coming in motion towards the play and then getting the pass on the opposite sideline (where campbell did).

Teams will know to look for this during the season. And if there's no plan to use this play during the season, why run it at all in practice?
that confuses me too. thats what leads me to think it was just to keep everyone interested and fire up the team. someone said lets put bramlet in there to do it...agreed.

To make opponents OC's scheme for it, tho it probably won't be used.

Everyone knew Pittsburgh had a reverse pass to Randle-El but they were successful everytime they ran it.

Well, I still don't like to see it mentioned in a blog where people can read about it...

That sounds like the play that the Bronchos completed to Elway in the superbowl when they were having their way with us in the first quarter.

collins or palmer most likely wont be the ones playing if saunders were to dial up that play in the regular season...

Or, in the paranoid world that is the NFL, they have just given all of the DC's something more to worry about and waste precious time on. If they goof around with it in TC with no intention of ever actually doing it, it's disinformation.

Let's see them run a whole series of tackle-eligible plays, too and see whether they put a man to cover Jon Jansen down near the GL. LOL

we use pucillo as eligible for an extra blocker, i wonder if one day they actually do use him to go out and catch a pass

i dont want to see this play unless campbell can get out of bounds i dont want to see him get crushed by a safety after a 12 yd catch
