View Full Version : The Last I want to hear of this

So, now that TC is here and opening day is just around the corner I just wanted to get some things over with now. Here's a few things I don't want to hear said once the season begins:

Rogers drops the easy pick
The receiver got behind Taylor for the easy score
Cartright fumbles
On paper the team looks ....
Springs is down on the field
False start #66 offense, 5 yard penalty, repeat 3rd down.
And Brunell enters the game to a chorus of boos.
Lloyd drops the third down pass.
#57 misses the tackle
It's the end of the 3rd quarter and the fans are streaming out the exits.
Manning has all day to throw the ball.
McNabb has all day to thow the ball.
Romo has all day to throw the ball.
Moss is hobbling off the field holding his hamstring.
Third and 5, Burress far right, Rogers is lined up 10 yards off the line of scrimmage
Third and 1, hand off to portis and he's stopped short of the first down.
The 700 page playbook

Anybody, got any other things that should be banned in 07?

And following this loss, the Redskins drop under .500.

Well, I don't want to hear Chris Collinsworth and I think he should be banned, but I don't think that is what you are looking for.

Luckily you won't have to hear about 66 and 57 anymore

I don't want to hear anything about an injury taking a certain amount of time to heal and then it lingers for a few more weeks/entire season

I can't think of anything else at the time

"He is super smart."
"He fought his guts out."

15 yard penalty for excessive celebration.
Frost shanked the punt deep in our own territory.
The kick is no good.

Somebody new on the OL or among the LBs will prolly inherit those numbers; here's hoping we will be pleased to hear them called out.

I don't want to hear: And this mediocre running back had a career day against the Redskins.

forget collinsworth, NO MORE BILL MAAS!!! i was soooo happy when he got arrested. he was one of the worst analyst i have ever heard, and we always got him...

oh and "the offense calls a timeout" because we cant get a play called in time.

Collinsworth is a tool but, I think there's a few worse. I couldn't turn on the audio if Dierdorf or Cross were calling one of our games. I if I ever ran into either one of those guys I would maybe have to punch him in the stomach.

And, thank God the highway along the right side of our defense has been closed!

Now, you're getting crazy expectations ;)

15 yard penalty for excessive celebration.

Or even worse Lloyd slams his helmet on the turf.

Frost shanked the punt deep in our own territory.
The kick is no good.

I was pleased with the way our kicking game was going at the end of the season. Hopefully, we just build on that this year.

This happened surprisingly a lot last year: "*Enter opposing offensive player* caught the tip ball for a TD"

(During the game) "The latest development in the Michael Vick saga..."

Yes, the THRASH package when we get to the RED ZONE, easily predictable for any defense and hardly ever turns to TD's.

I still wake up from time to time in a cold sweat after having a nightmare about a blown 3rd down.

Cross is self-important smug son-of-a-gun, but I don't think I'd want anything to do with hitting those guys. Cross had the meanest leg-whip in the league, and Dierdorf (whom I really don't mind as a T.V. guy) was a certified bad-ass in his playing days. Cross has always hated the Redskins; I remember late during the '91 season, he had just started commentating and was doing a Skins game, and spent to whole time bagging on the Redskins and talking about how overrated they were and that they weren't a super bowl team. What a clown. I never listen to him.

Well Cross did play the Skins in some important games and I'm sure there was no love lost. What kills me about his blathering on about this guy or that guy, is the Cross was one of the most astoundingly dirty players of his day. He held on almost every down, cut-blocked out of the line zone, and leg-whipped like a donky on crack. If he had not been protecting Montana (the face of the league at the time) I suspect he would have wound up being tossed out of a few games.

absolutly! i have only been going to games for the past 5 years, but i haven't missed a game. but it always surprises me how many of the opposite teams fans come to the game and outnumber us, especially philly and steelers. There is so much passion for this team in washington, how can this happen. look at all of us that care at HR, Extreme skins, and then think of the older crowd who haven't joined fan boards, and young guys, etc. its crazy, so much passion, yet we don't go to the game?

anyway, bachk to the thread
During preseason:
"the skins are keeping everything vanilla till the regular season starts."
"portis is down and not getting up"
"Campbell just took a hit from the blind side and is in pain"
"Springs has been injured and it looks like it might be serious"

most of mine are injury things, cause i think thats what i worry about most during the preseason, and i think if we stay healthy we could be good

I'm always torn between being proud we are not a bunch of semi-civilized thugs who will hurt opposing fans, such as Philly and NY; and disgusted that the opposing folks can get in the field in such large numbers.

How the Redskins are going to be better because of ,
Gregg Williams' new defensive wrinkles,
Golston and Monty's each becoming one of the [I]4400 in the offseason,

I darn sure don't wanna here

- False start ( It appears that the qb didn't get the play on time)

- Romo, McNabb, Eli, have all the time in the world to throw

-Sean Taylor arrested

- Ladell Betts up the middle FUMBLE

- Randel El runs the reverse 5 straight weeks

- Tim Green or Baldinger saying anything

- any Osaka reference in the preseason

- Gibbs loses yet another obvious replay challenge. Redskins will be charged their last timeout.

- Brian Mitchell saying things have changed, the Gibbs I knew used to (enter anything here)

- G.W. blitzing 9 and getting burned
- A new "run stopping scheme"...out of a deep cover two package :-P
-Ladell Betts at the 20, at the 10, at the 5,...FUMBLE!!!
-Donovan Mcnabb scrambles for 18 yards...on 3rd and 16
-Eli throws the ball up in the air falling backward with his eyes closed...touchdown Plaxico Burress.
-Two timeouts blows in the 3rd quarter.
