Jetman, honestly, you're right, if the Jets had made any effort at calling some good plays we would have been in trouble. But, and it's a big but, you got just as much luck as we did. The whistle on Vinny's fumble comes to mind.

Thanks for showing up, we won't rub it in on such a close game. You're just lucky it wasn't a blowout with your offense moving for an entire 158 yards....

I just could not understand why they keep calling plays short of the first on third down

I've seen alot of that on the Jets' site and let's not forget that all their scoring drives came off of Redskin misstakes. Plus if you get out gained 327 to 158 then mostly you can't call it a fluke. Vinny was asked to much and why? The Skins D controlled Curtis Martin. I think both defenses played well but what decided the game is that the Skins' D came through in the clutch and ultimately played better.

I think both Edwards and Vinny dont have confidence in Vinny running the show. They seemed to have called an extremely conservative game.

I think you guys are not seeing what I was. Vinny waqs lobbying those 3 and whatever passes short. The WR needed to come back for most of those.

I definately agree with seeway on this. The Jets called a conservative game. But was it because of our defense? YES.

Very nice of you to visit Jetman, you're very classy. I went up to some Jet's fans after the game and I approached them very lightly. Didn't gloat or anything, just wanted their opinion the game so I could report here. Well, I got nothing. They were a little upset and I understood that.

By the way, before we left the parking lot to enter the stadium, we serenaded a Jets tailgate party with a very nice rendition of HTTR. Everybody loved it. We walked up to them and played it from about 20 ft away.

Yea .. Hackett was an idiot and it's unfortunate for Jets fans BUT ..... i read a comment on one of the jets boards suggesting that Jimmy Raye should be given control of playcalling. All I can say is, after watching Jimmy Raye call draw plays on 3rd and longs routinely as the Skins OC under Marty .... he's about the only person who would be worse.

A lot of the routes were run short, and not vinny's fault.

Our Linebackers were OUT-FREAKIN-STANDING! They caused more havic than most people realized last night.

The Jets were even more lucky with a bad call when Vinny fumbled DEEP in the Jets zone...we would have walzed in for an easy score.
Then again...if Sowell didn't drop that GIMME pass in the endzone we might not even be here.
