So, I just finished a whirlwind solo road trip from DC to LA (in 53 hours I didn't spend more than 15 minutes at any given time outside of my car) and I'm a little delirious and in no position to talk details. But this general idea crossed my mind, and I wanted to throw it out there to see what you guys think.
The idea is to predict as much as possible about the Redskins season. Start with the obvious: record, outcome of each game, final position in the league/division, any postseason action. But also some more specific categories, like points for, points against, yards (for/against, rushing/passing), maybe number of personal TDs, ints, sacks, etc for a few key players. Final offensive and defensive rankings, also maybe predict lineup changes over the course of the season. There are probably other interesting categories that I'm not thinking of.
For this to work, someone (maybe me when I'm more conscious, but I'm sure someone else could do at least as well, probably better) needs to come up with a list of categories and a scoring system to give the appropriate weight to each one. There's a whole season to predict, so I think it should be a pretty extensive list. Obviously predictions need to be done by Sunday, so rules need to be set soon.
I hope this post makes some sense because it wouldn't surprise me at all if it's gibberish. Let me know if you guys are into it. If not it's totally cool, no hard feelings...
