During any game, especially a win, some plays will stand out as just too darn cool. These plays may or may not be difference makers but they all show you something that makes football so great.

For me, it is a toss up between Sellers giving three Fins a ride with a DB hanging on his head like a 4 year old getting a boost from Daddy and when CBS showed a replay where Dan Dierdorf said they were going to take a look at Zack Thomas one of his favorite players. The camera cut to a replay of Rabach driving Thomas 10 yards off the point and tossing 54 to the ground like a hunk of meat. It only got better when Thomas jumped up to complain to the official and only recieved a little chuckle for his effort.

Ditto. What an incredibly uninspiring performance today. I haven't been so disappointed in a win since the opener in '04.

Randle El's deflection catch was cool, if useless. And I'm going to remember Betts laying Samuels out for a while.

I'm feeling pretty good about this game. I think we're going to build on it.

Betts knocking Samuels on his keester.

Play for the ages. Reminded me of Portis pushing Sellers ahead in the Arizona game from 05.

my favorite play was the 19 yard touchdown by Clinton Portis. It was so good to see him running like the old CP.

to be fair, samuels was standing sideways and didnt see it coming.. still, betts looked very different from the tentative runner we saw in preseason

Did you hear Samuels in the postgame show? "Lookout, here comes Ladell..."

"They should play him at safety."

Glad to see LB playing with such heart and finesse.

should have been game, set, match right there

It brought me back all right...

i hope that is a one time thing and not the start of another season's worth of dropped int's

Ditto. What an incredibly uninspiring performance today. I haven't been so disappointed in a win since the opener in '04.Better than an uninspiring loss. Miami is a good team regardless of what the media says. Strong strong d and good qb play. Granted they aren't the Pats but I found the final drive to be quite inspiring.

Cooley cracking Jason Taylor so hard that JT was shaking his head (seeming clearing the cobwebs, but who knows) as he headed back to the huddle.

I think the run was actually a 1 yard loss.

I had a few. I loved the shuffel (or is it shovel?) pass to Betts. Reminded me of AS's KC teams.

CP's TD run and last run before the FG were vintage CP.

The formation for Cooley's catch in overtime was a great formation and call.

I also like Andre Carter's sack in the first quarter. It kept Miaimi from taking seven-step drops most of the game after that. But Carter should have had two more. He can't let go when he gets his hands on the QB.

My favorite was the perfectly thrown bomb to ARE. Great toss...great catch. Can't say we have seen too many of those since the Midnight Miracle in Dallas in '05.

Betts clobering Samuels was great fun. Its not everyday you see a multi-pro bowl LT get trucked by anyone let alone his own RB. lol

I agree with the plays cited in this thread and would like to add one - McIntosh forcing a fumble and Springs recovering it. Our 12 TOs last year was a historic low for the entire NFL. At least we are on a pace for 16 now.

The shovel pass was pretty cool. Notice how they chose to run that play with Betts in the game? Maybe it's because they trust his hands over Portis? I know I do.

Portis has run that play successfully several times as a Redskin. I think the playcall was indicitive of what the defense was giving them at the time more than which RB was on the field at the time.

When Smoot dropped the INT, brought me back to the redskins in the playoffs vs seattle.

Smoot blamed the drop on his sitting next to Rogers on the bench. Apparently, "stone hands" rubbed off on him.

My favorite play of the game without a doubt, was the play where Casey Rabach literally tossed Zach Thomas into the secondary. And Thomas was complaining to the refs but really he got utterly, legitimately destroyed. That was freakin' cool.

For me it was:

When Betts got STUFFED close to the line of scrimmage and Portis was making a move to come in, Betts vehemently waves him off. After that, both RBs do their best impressions of the Bulls in Pamplonia (I like seeing that fire in BOTH of our RBs).

In Samuels' defense he was standing with his blind side towards Betts, but you know he got an earfull from his teammates about it. I suspect Buges will replay that splice of tape from thirty different angles at their next meeting.

You guys see the interception in the Cowpukes game where he was tackled by his own D-lineman? I don't remember who picked it off but he ran back like 20 yards and then was "jacked up" by his own guy! :smash:

And then, to add to it, another player dove on the guy that made the pick and ended up doing a handstand after going completely over him! My brother and I were rollin' on the floor! :lol1:

That was awesome. The pukes looked utterly horrid on defense. I know they lost Newman and Ferguson, but dear lord...

Jason Campbell scrambling to the right for a first down and leaving Jason Taylor probably the most athletic d lineman in the NFL in his dust. It just showed me all the potential Campbell has 6'5" strong arm great touch on the long ball and enough speed to outrun Jason Taylor. P.S. The Betts running over Samuels was the scariest play all I could think about was Betts running over Thomas ending his season (2005) and probably costing us a trip to the Super Bowl. Thomas has been good but not quite the same since, he was a monster that year.

Randle El's almost TD after that deflection on the Hail Mary made my heart jump up in my throat. Betts trucking Samuels made me laugh almost as hard as when I saw a guy in the stadium wearing a Quincy Carter jersey :D
