I have posted my latest Vision Quest Article on the blog. I have brought back by unpopular demand the "5 Things We Know/Don't Know Now" and do a brief look ahead at the Eagles. Read the article by clicking below:

good stuff..

just a few quibbles.. rocky is an entirely different player this year than he was last year. a year of studying film has turned him into a force rather than someone who was out of position far too much

and as good as ARE looks, we still need a large possession receiver to catch those 3rd down throws in traffic. maybe mccardell or gabriel will work ? lloyd simply wont

your not going to sign a guy off the street ot be your #2 receiver...and if you are doing that, your in trouble.

Rocky may be a better student of the game this year but his athleticism alone should have put him on the field last year. We have no idea what kind of player he was because he sat the first 14 games. In pre-season IMO he outplayed Holdman and then was benched all year until Washington's injury. It is obvious Lindey had man love for Holdman and it is why he lost his job.

I'm not sure how I feel about your blog. The new season is upon us, and I've never read your blog after the opening game when hope was still in the air. You wrote so positively about so many things, I found myself becoming critical. Yet for every critical comment, I also found something positive.

After the confusion drained from me, all I could think was, it was a good start.

You are right, it was a good start. We need to win those close games not matter if we play good or bad. I think the offense will gel over time, oline and running game looked decent. At least we know some stuff about our defense. Lb's are much improved. Dline can stop an average-team running game. Dline cant apply pressure except for AC....he looks good, 1 sack, came close a couple times, thought I saw him held too. Safeties will be fine. The corners scare me a little, but at least we know that these 10-yard cushions are by design...there is no way that Fletcher would allow that on any defense that he is lining up. I would rather see more pressure applied at the line and man-to-man from the corners. But this is coming from a musician and not football guru. GO SKINS !!!!!!!!!!

i think you were just a bit harsh on the pass defense. you have to take into consideration that the dolphins threw a lot at 38 attempts for ONLY 3.9 yards per attempt and 12 passes were completed to brown and chatman on short passes, we didnt give up the big play, and only gave up a couple passes that were actually down the field some. we took away the dolphins run and forced them to pass even tho we didnt have a big lead, which is why landry was able to play back some out of the box

Ok I missed this yesterday. That is pretty damn funny I don't care what anyone says

This is definitely a game that the Redskins would have lost last year. They found a way to win this year. The 15 yard cushion has to go. I think this is GW scheming because no matter what corner we have in here the same problem happens.

This is definitely a case of stats lying. Miami had so many drops (more then us) that stopped drives cold. This was not due to anything but pure luck on our part. The pass defense is a worry for me and if I am Mcnabb I am heaving it for like 50 times on Monday.

i think it was just the thought of landry and taylor prowling back there..lol

i think we are going to see more and more of that.

do you know if anyone keeps track of the number of drops against all team defenses ? that would be a very interesting stat to see as the season progresses
