Believe it or not. (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=3025062)

Asked if he was kicking himself as he returned to the sideline following the errant long ball, Campbell laughed.

"Kicking myself?" he said. "I wanted to put on boxing gloves and knock myself out."

Pure classic!

We take a lot of heat from the media. A lot of it is warranted...some just mean spirited. The old adage holds true...we haven't produced anything, so why do deserve accolades. HOWEVER, here is an example where one of our historically biggest critics is telling a different story. It's good see, and based on what we're seeing, well warranted... Thanks Lenny...it's nice to see that it's not all hate inside you.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda... BUT...

If JC doesn't miss that overthrow, and we eliminate the drops, he's got over 300 yards. Pretty good.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. That was a fantastic call by Saunders and a great route by Santana. I really think that Campbell's improvement will turn this offense into a force to be reckoned with. That is we if can avoid losing one starting o-lineman every damn week...

that pass was a dagger that just missed... the crowd could have gone home early if he puts a little more air under it..

Lenny P's piece is full of quotes from stock post-game press interviews and could have been written from his couch w/ a pretzel in his mouth. An inane piece of fluff.

I expect the press will follow suit and take a look at the JC bandwagon, but most of them don't know sh*t anyways.

Props to Tom Jackson, who on the pregame show apparently was the only person in the WHOLE COUNTRY who thought the Skins would win (according to the pregame map and analyst poll).

As much as he has been a pain in the Art Monk HOF fiasco, I think props are also due to Peter King of SI if JC blooms. King has warmed up to king Snyder ever since they opened the kimono to him a little bit and he has been a JC believer since last year.

As for Sal Pal-O-Mine Antonio.... nah, just too easy.

I'm not complaining or anything, but did in anyone else play that back in their head last night after the game with Moss catching the ball and scoring?

Yes Campbell overthrew one of the fastest guys in the NFL, but worst case people will know how deep he can go and that will open up the run game and some of the middle and underneath routs in the future.

Fluff piece, but I will take it! There will be a lot more articles written about this young man...this is just the beginning! He will become better with each game, and be completely primed and ready to make a run come the end of the season!

I think that isn't the last time we see that situation arise though. With our tough running style and Moss' ability to take a short pass and turn it into a long one, I can see Moss getting open deep a lot more often this season. Jason will have the opportunity to rectify the mistake.

The pre-game stuff was definitely skewed toward the McNabb & Co. But I was happy to see the post-game stuff was not. They did their share of "McNabb sucked because of his knee" stuff, but they also showed some real man-love for JC.

I was shocked that all these "experts" this whole year leading up to and including pre-game yesterday were really skeptical about JC's abilities. It was as if they had never really watched him play. A couple guys saw potential there but never really said more than that. But after the game last night, every single one of those guys gave him props and some pretty big ones. They were really impressed and kept calling it a "growing up" game for him.

Nice to see he's getting some of the positive reviews he deserves.

The in-house game film will reveal whether that was an overthrow or if Moss slowed down after beating the coverage.

For the new folks on the boards, here's that inspiring and popular reel of highlights from JC's college days. I really enjoyed the completion at 41 seconds and the one at 4 minutes.

It was tought to tell; it did sort of seem like he slowed down a bit after he got open, maybe because he didn't know if the ball was coming his way or not. Hell, he may have just been shocked that he was so wide open. He definitely broke stride when he saw the ball was out of reach. But I do think he may have hurt himself by slowing a bit.
